She has never been playful or trusting of anyone when she is in human form. But as soon as she shifts she will quickly find friends to play with, either it be the local stray dogs or the sewer rats. She never had a converstation with a human that lasted her more than 5 minutes before she had to walk away. She was sure she was hunted, and she would not want to put anyone in danger because of her. This makes her seem cold and heartless and like a person you should leave alone. But deep inside she really just wants to find a place to belong and someone to belong with, to fight alongside. From the day she was born she was on the run, her parents always running from something or someone, even though they had fled to europe to be safe. Only they had found out that even more hunters resided there, and it was hard to establish a safe home. They traveled lightly, over fields and down valleys over mountains, and forests, anywhere they could run without being seen. Her father would shift as a horse and carry her mother and herself on his back. Her mother had not been a shifter, her generation had been skipped and she was born without the shifter gene. She had fallen in love with a shifter that she grew up with, and he was Athalya's father. Athalya got the gene, and early on started shifting different parts of herself and later on her entire body. Now at the age of 24 shifting was a play to her, though very tough is she had not taken a form before and had to do it the first time. Her parents were hunted and killed back in europe when Athalya was 5 years old, she was shipped overseas to live with her grandmother in Atwater California. Her grandmother died shortly after Athalya's 24th birthday and this left her to leave California and go to the place her grandmother had allways talked about, Harper Valley New York, a place where it was possible to meet other supernatural, or to hide among them and the humans. Athalya was there now, at the side of the main street, sitting on her old Harley, a bike that had belonged to her grandfather she never got to meet. And it looked as if it could fall apart any second. |
