HISTORY: Anya was born the third child and first-born daughter to Grigory and Arina Belkov. She grew up happy and positively adored her brothers and sister. Though she had quite a nasty temper even as a baby, she had been fun-loving and moderately well-behaved. She wasn't happy when Filip and Andrei left and was the loudest one against it. She had clung to her family like a lifeline so watching it separate somewhat scared her. This was particularly because she was epileptic and in those days no one knew what it was and pretty much treated like a leper for the most part. All she had for the most part was her family.
When she married Demyan, she was very happy, especially since he didn't seem all that concerned with her seizures. She loved him and her life with him,and so when she had her adorable little Zoya, she was positively in heaven. It only lasted six months, however. Visiting her parents with her daughter there, she had stepped outside for a while. It was dark and a full moon, and Anya got attacked pretty badly by something. Demyan found her and brought her in the house. They stayed with her parents until she recovered enough to return home. The next month she turned for the first time. No one had expected it and it ended in bloodshed. Only 22, Anya lost everything.
The next morning, after realizing what she had done, she ran away and left Russia behind her. She altered her last name as a homage to both families she lost. Suddenly alone and horrified with herself, she acclimated and did what she had to in order to survive. She managed to meet other werecats like her and learned from them what she could. Whatever she wasn't told she figured out on her own. Afraid to face what she did to her husband and daughter, she has made it a point to live as long as she possibly can, positive she is destined for Hell when she dies. It also doesn't help that her epilepsy has been carried with the turn, but the seizures are a lot less frequent.
She has no qualms with sleeping around in order to stay alive and so that is what she has done for centuries. Living that long, however, can get rather boring so she has dabbled in many things. Being bored or just simply curious, she has done almost everything. Shortly after Russia, she moved to Spain and married a prince. She was pirate for a couple decades. That was amusing and irritating. She wasn't a fan of pretending to be a guy all that much.
That was a bit of a turning point for her, mostly a rebellious stage in her life. During those centuries she had taken to partaking in the more questionable activities. She had been a thief, ran a whorehouse (mostly to keep up her immortality and protect the girls), in the twenties she owned a speakeasy in Chicago. After that and a turn of events where she ended up pregnant, she calmed her roll. She ended up losing the child in a miscarriage due to a fight. After that, she became more responsible with her life.
She laid low for most of the decades after that, moving every few years and sticking to flings with vampires and the like to keep her immortality. She has recently moved to Las Vegas, where she is a journalist. She has been hearing rumors of at least one of her brothers hanging and so she is curious to see if they are true.
