OVERALL PERSONALITY: Javi is certainly something else. On the one hand, he’s a complete and total goofball. He loves to prank his friends and family, even if they don’t appreciate the prank. He’s the first one to drop what he’s doing just to make someone laugh when they’re having a bad day. He’s also a shameless flirt, but he has a good heart. He doesn’t let most things bother him and tends to be very even tempered. All-in-all, he’s reliable and dependable.
Now, sometimes his goofball tendencies can get him in trouble. He has been known to lack seriousness when a situation is in dire need of it. As such, he can sometimes come off as childish and immature to those who don’t understand or take the time to learn his way of thinking. He knows that seriousness is needed but also knows laughs are too. Sometimes, he has problems balancing the two.

HISTORY: Jason Harper met Emilia Espina while on vacation in Palm Springs California when he was about 21. Emilia was nineteen with nowhere to go and no money to save her life. The kicker was she was also pregnant. Their relationship wasn’t love at first site. Rather it was just man trying to help out a girl with a loser boyfriend that had caused her to end up being cut off from her family. Jason just wanted to help her out. So, he let her stay in his hotel room. When it was time to return to Harper Valley, he gave her a choice. Leave with him and he would help her get a job and she would be able to stay with him until she managed to get on her feet or stay there and he would give her a hefty amount of money so she could have a place.
Naturally, she didn’t take his money and took the travel ticket instead. She got a job babysitting for the neighbors while staying with him, but couldn’t manage to work long enough to save up enough cash before Javier decided he wanted out. He came earlier than he was supposed to, but he was a healthy boy. Instead of being happy about this, she panicked and put Jason on the birth certificate as his father. She didn’t want her boyfriend to ever have a reason to use their son against her. At first, Jason was furious about it but after she explained everything in detail, he agreed to go along with it. They stayed friends after that, but began dating when Javi was about three. They married when he was four, and he got to be the ring bearer for the ceremony. That was the day, Emilia patched up her relationship with her mother
The next year, Chase was born. Javi enjoyed being a big brother and helped out the best that he could for a five year-old. When Javi was still five, he started taking classes at a karate dojo in New York City. By the time Anabel was born, Javi was his instructor’s star pupil. At thirteen, Javi was winning competitions left and right. It was also the year, Mark Bell found Emilia. He had hired a private investigator to do it and then he took Emilia to court for custody of Javi. Javier always knew that Jason wasn’t his biological father. It had never bothered him, and so he wanted nothing to do with Mark. The judge decided otherwise and gave full custody to Javi’s real father. For a year, he lived with him and learned exactly why Emilia left the guy.
Mark was mean, extremely so. Yes, Javi knew how to protect himself. He was still thirteen, however. His strength was limited. It was always bad because Javi would fight back. Mark had took an especially sadistic pleasure in taking hot pokers to Javi's back and chest when the boy was particularly troublesome. In a years time, he had run to Jason for help. It didn’t take long for Emilia to get her custody back but it was almost to late as Mark found out and tried to kill the boy by drowning him in the pool just before social services came for him. Soon after recovering from the near death experience in the Harper Valley Hospital, Javi was back with his family and a new appreciation for the father he was raised with. So when Jason died from cancer when Javi was eighteen, it hit him hard. He just focused on taking up the council position and his new job of part time martial arts instructor.
Now Javi is also a full time hunter of the supernatural.
