It had been a while since Michael was able to get out of the house and just enjoy life. His work really made things difficult. But now that he was on a week long vacation he headed to New York City to get away from a small time life he led back in Harper Valley. He needed this time on his own and time to reflect on things that were going on in his life. He had finally met his brother again. His baby brother Savitar. That was big for him. Very big. He had seen Anya in Los Vegas. And that nearly tore him up when she ran away from him like she did. He was really upset from that and was one reason he was taking a trip like this. To be able to sort out all things that had gone on recently in his life. He had traveled to some of the most interesting parts of New York. Here he was at the Museum. And just took the time to observe the new displays that were set up. Some of the stuff he was really fascinated with others not so much. When he finished sight seeing he went back to his hotel room..
The next evening he was out and about again. He had a very full stomach. He made sure to carry his own blood bags with him on any trips he went on. Even on the job he had a cooler of blood in the trunk of his car cause ya never knew when you may need that extra pick me up. He was not one of those blood thirsty vampires either. He learned how to deal with the cravings for a very long time. After all all he ever really had was eternity. And so here he was in the 21st century a full bred vampire Original. One other reason he was out here on his own he needed to make knew friends. Adrian had constantly demanded that he get himself some new friends to hang out with. The thing with that was he was a vampire. So making human friends was kinda hard because he had to hide that part of him.
The last friend he had that was human he ended up loosing. And he didn't know if he could handle the thought of another friend dying and that he could live forever not worrying about illness or any thing that could kill a human easily. But he decided this was the year he needed to have someone he could turn to other than Adrian.

Tess sighed as she sat on a seat on the subway. Sadly her car was in the shop for some engine trouble, and she had work to do today. She looked over at the little boy next to her, Nathanial, he was only seven years old and he was on his way to a new foster home. But that was hardly his fault. She had taken care of him a few months back when CPS was called on his mother because she was a drunk and neglected the poor thing. And Nathan had gone to a nice foster home with a family she knew was incredibly nice. However late last week the woman of the home requested Nathanial be moved to another home because her husband had lost his job and as much as they loved Nathanial they barely had enough to feed them and their own children so they thought it best if he could go to a home where he would get the care he needed. So this morning Tessa got the call to head over and pick Nathan up and take him to his new foster home with Mrs. O'Hara. "Cheer up Nathan. Mrs. O'Hara is a lovely woman. She will take good care of you, I promise," she said, nudging the boy. He smiled and nodded but remained quiet, but Tess knew he didn't really speak much so she wasn't worried. By the time she got Nathan to Mrs. O'Hara's in the Bronx and got him nice and settled in, and of course stayed for afternoon tea as Mrs. O'Hara insisted, it was late afternoon, heading towards early evening. She didn't have any plans for the evening, so instead of hopping on a train back to Brooklyn she started walking around the borough of New York she was currently in. It was a nice night out, though it was chilly out. She tugged her coat tighter around her as a cold wind blew past her. Damn it she did not want to deal with wind chill! She closed her eyes for a few moments focusing on the wind that still persisted and taped into her weather manipulation abilities. The wind died instantly and she smirked in satisfaction. She wasn't the best at magic, but over the years she had gotten better with the weather, though she tried not to use it obviously. Just little things, unless her emotions got the best of her and they messed with the weather for her. She still had her eyes closed, thought the wind had died, though a moment later she opened them when a car horn blared, since she had just started into the busy street without realizing it. Luckily she was only one step n so she back peddled and knocked into someone, making her stumble and fall. As she hit the ground the wind started back up and she swore under her breath and forced it to stop again the she looked up at the guy she ran into. "I'm so sorry. Lost in thought I suppose." She smiled sheepishly and smoothed out her coat. "I didn't hurt you or anything did I?"""Sorry this took me a bit longer than i thought it would!))

And here was Michael in the busy street. Wondering where he should go next. Maybe the Statue of Liberty? While he thought on that note he wasn't paying attention to what was in front of him. He was hating being alone though. The very thought made his mind wander and think about where he was going. And that was when he had been bumped into by another. By accident of course. But before he could apologize the young girl was apologizing to him for not watching where she was going. "No need ma'am. I wasn't paying attention either. No harm done. Are you okay?" He helped her up and looked her over a good bit. He knew she was human. At least he thought. He did hear her heart. Which was why he was checking to make sure she was fine. He gave her a kind warm smile. He wasn't heartless. That was something very good about him. He was very kind in nature actually. So it came natural for him to make sure the human was okay. And that they weren't harmed in any such way. He let her hand go after he knew for certain she could stand on her own two feet.
"My name's Michael." He said as nice as possible towards her. He didn't want to make her scared of him in any such way. Besides he could just feel that there was something different about her. What it was he had no idea. That was one of his qualities about him that just made him who he was. So someone would admit why it was hard for him to make human friends. Well he's a vampire enough said. He did notice how the weather around him was changing oddly. But he already brushed that away from his head. This world was so strange and so he just thought nothing more of it. He was enticed about this young girl. She seemed very different in an odd way that was cool to him. One thing he didn't know she was a witch. He'll he didn't know Bianca was one when he first met her. She had to tell him she was. But he did get that idea about this girl. She has the same aura around her as Bianca had.

'No need ma'am. I wasn't paying attention either. No harm done. Are you okay?' She smiled as he helped her to her feel and steadied her then she nodded at his question of if she was alright. At least he was nice about it. She knew some people in the Big Apple were total assholes. You run into them and they freak out on you. Though she would admit there was a small number of occasions where in Stereotypical New York fashion she had yelled as someone, though she had never called out "Hey I'm Walking Here!" but still the yelling counted. 'My name's Michael.'
She grinned and held out her hand to shake his. "It's nice to meet you Michael. I'm Tessa," she introduced herself. Well she did like meeting new people, so this was a good thing that she had decided to go out instead of going home immediately. Though she had to remember to give Sav a call or a text before it got too late though. If she didn't he would start worrying about her, wish she didn't mind, after all she did seem to have a knack for finding trouble he had to save her from. But she didn't want hm to worry when she was perfectly safe. But she knew she still shouldn't stay out too late especially because she had to take the subway home to Brooklyn. That would be fun. She looked up at Michael then all around the busy street. "So, what brings you out to the Bronx then Michael? Local cruising the streets? From another Borough?" Those were the obvious two, but hell she could have been a tourist for all she knew. But it just hurt to guess even if she ended up being wrong.

Michael smiled grateful she wasn't a crazy one. "I'm here on vacation. I live at Harper Valley actually. My friend suggested I get out more." He chuckled a little. Adrian was always looking out for his well being. His accent was very heavy. And Tessa might pick that up right away. He wasn't like others that much was true. He wasn't a crazy New York guy yelling at people he didn't know. He was a helper. He helped those who needed it. Maybe why he became a cop..."What about you? You live here?" He was being so nice and polite. He was raised to be that way with strangers. Old habits for hard. That figure of speech couldn't be any more true than it was now. He did realize it was late. But when could a vampire come out and view the sights? Not during the day that was for certain. And Michael always made sure he was well fed before he ventured out in the open at night. He was very well in control of his feeding habits. It wasn't always this easy for him though. But that's all in the past now. All he had was future to look forward to.
And he had friends and hopefully a brother again. So his future looked bright for him. He was trying to live a normal life. But there was that dark side about him he had to hide from humans. Unless they were hurt then he would proceed with caution. That would become out in the open very soon. So sooner than he wanted. He wasn't someone to turn away from someone that needed help. And he would help that person if they were in severe pain. He believed in helping strangers. They had their own lives to live as well. "Even at night New Yorkers crowd the streets huh?" He asked as he watched a few passer bys walk past them...He was glad of that in a way. He hated crowds at times. But it did make the streets safer that people were out and about. And even cops were roaming. This was apparently a very safe area. Michael looked back at Tessa..."I guess you chose to bump in to the right person Tessa. I'm sorry again I did that..." He apologized again making sure she was really okay. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt some one by accident...
