Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat.
It was Friday, and although she had no need to celebrate the weekend, it was here. It had been a few days and Gia had been feeling, better. Her days were spent reading vast amounts of books in the library, searching for any hints or clues that could assist in finding out the answers to her most pressing questions. Although it was bothersome that she wasn’t getting any significant results, she was still happy that she found something to focus her time and energy on. It re-sparked her curiosity, and thirst for gaining new knowledge, trumped by the very questions she posed. She felt as she had a purpose again, a meaning for carrying forward.
Not wanting to get ahead of herself, or over work herself Gia decided to reserve the weekend for doing anything but research. As hard as it may be, she knew it was something that had to be done, and so leaving the library relatively early she made her way home to shower, change, and go out to enjoy the night. The shifter looked in the mirror, getting lost in her own reflection, there seemed as though there was a glimmer of hope, in time, she will be whole again.
She meandered through town, passing various places and people here and there, not finding any urge to stop. It was dusk, and she felt the cool air make its way down her spine. As she made her way past the park, she paused momentarily. Gia wanted nothing more than to just sit all day and night in her favorite tree by the pond, perhaps tomorrow, tonight she had a plan.
The shifter approached the outskirts of town, walking slowly, in no rush to get anywhere, not that there was anywhere in particular she was going. She gazed up at the sky, watching as the night began to chase away the sun. Giovanna placed her hands in her jacket pockets and continued on her way. She had decided to go a bit further than normal, and before she knew it, a building began to appear in the distance. The Blue Moon Pub, she recalls. She remembered coming across it awhile back and didn’t have a cause or and real want or need to go in. Plus, the one thing she kept reminding herself was to take her time, there was no rush to get everything done. She was going to be here for as long as she wanted, no rush, no time limit, she was allowed to ease herself in to the new town, and by doing so she has managed to leave herself a few places, and plenty of people around town still a mystery to her. But tonight, she made sure to visit this pub, perhaps not for long. A drink or two would do her some good, and since it’s so close to the forest she could easily shift and vanish into the night.
As Gia got closer, her ears perked up, the bar was silencing the sounds of the night. “Must be a good night.” She entered the place, her head panned around getting a view of as much as she could. It was decently full, but wasn’t suffocating. Gia’s eyes locked on an empty seat at the bar, and as she made her way over, she began to slowly unzip her leather jacket. The shifter sat down calmly, and tried to cancel out the noise around her. As the bartender approached, she gave a friendly smile, “I’ll have a Rum and Coke please.” She said politely. It had been a while since she had a drink, to be quite honest, she can’t even remember the last time she had a drink, she chuckled quietly to herself at the thought. She was going to try to make the best of the night, stay here for a while, maybe another drink, or two. If it gets boring, she could always leave. Gia twisted her mouth as her eyes pranced about the pub, observing the various people of the night.

Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. The shifter’s large round hazel eyes wandered throughout the pub, scanning the various people, and items scattered about. Her eyes never focused on one spot for long. As the bartender returned with her drink, she twisted her torso slightly to face them. She gave a slight nod and a friendly smile. “Here’s to tonight.” She muttered under her breathe, and with that she took a sip of her drink. It was cool, refreshing, and long overdue.
Gia’s mind began to wander, back to the countless nights that she was dragged against her will to various clubs and bars throughout Manhattan. She had never understood why Lila liked them. Crowded, loud, hot and sweaty places where people went to primarily find a hook up. As smart as Lila was, when it came to men, it was her greatest weakness. It killed Gia to watch her best friend get hurt, played, and just mistreated over and over again. She shuddered at the thought. Why are you thinking of this now? Stop it! Right on time. Could there ever be a moment when her mind didn’t have to show up and be rude? Nevertheless, it was right, she was right. There was no need to be thinking of Lila at this moment. She was gone, she knew that, but there was something that was keeping her alive in her mind. Any chance she had, she thought of her, she could relate any situation or thought back to Lila. You need to move on Gia. “I know!” A statement that was no intended to be spoken. The shifter covered her mouth, and shook her head slightly. She knew the constant conversations with herself had to stop. It was starting to get ridiculous months ago, now it’s just sad.
Giovanna removed her hand from her mouth, and took a sip of her drink now more so to loosen her inhibitions a bit. She needed to think of anything but Lila. Tonight was for Gia. She took another sip of her drink and as she felt the bitter taste in her mouth made its way down her throat she heard a voice. Her round hazel eye’s located the man who had spoken to her, “Uh, Relatively, Yes I am. Is it that obvious?” She said with a faint smile, slightly caught off guard. Perhaps this town is much smaller than she had previously thought.

When Dusty noticed he had caught her off guard he really had not meant to do that, he was just being polite for once plus it was his own pub and he loves it when lots off different people come in. Your are not that noticeable that you are new around these parts, but I think I know who comes into this pub or who doesn’t come into this pub. This werewolf did not directly say it was his pub, on times it was not that hard to know if you were of the supernatural kind. If you looked carefully around the pub you could see lots of little hints about this pub owner.
He then listened to the group that he had been playing darts with a little bit earlier, which is when he pointed to one of his staff members that it was them who needed more drinks. Dusty then turned his back on to the stranger right in front of him. Sorry Miss I should really introduce myself. My name is Dusty. So what brings a lady like you all this far way down here?
It was true that Dusty pub was out of the way for most people, he put it here for the humans’ safety and for even though he would never admit it his own safety as well. He knew that the locals closest to the pub would always come in no matter what. The truth is this werewolf was seeing a lot more people coming from a lot further a field now. Even though most of his pub never seem to question what Dusty is, they just seem to get on with their drinking which is what this wolf likes they leave him alone and he leaves them alone, though he would not admit to it but he did get worried or scared that he will be found out what he is and he would have to go.

Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat.
Gia's round hazel eye's scanned the man in front of her, observing him, his body language, and the contours of his face as he spoke. She was never one for keeping up with a good conversation in a bar, that's what Lila was for. Stop it Gia! Her mind stopped her before she could even continue. No thinking, not tonight. She clenched her jaw, angry at herself for doing it yet again. Her hand made her way up to her locket hanging on her chest. Tightly grasping it once, then letting it go, in doing so she told her dear friend goodbye, at least for the night.
She listened as the man spoke, taking large gulps of her drink until it was gone. "Ah I see," She smiled slightly, "Well I am most certainly new to this pub!" She said as she rested her elbow on the bar and leaned her face into her soft hand. Giovanna watched intently as he interacted with the staff. He then introduced himself. "Nice to meet you Dusty, My name is Giovanna." She said kindly. She signaled the bartender for another drink before she answered his question. "Well, believe it or not, I pass this place almost every day, and I always told myself that I have to go in there one of these days. So here I am!" Gia said as her hands flailed up. She thought back to the countless nights that she spent in the forest roaming about. This place was her landmark, if she saw this place she knew she was safe and had not wandered off too far. Her smile widened as her drink appeared in front of her. This time, she took a small sip, enjoying it.
Her eyes wandered about the place again, then back at Dusty, "So do you work her or something?" She asked, trying to make conversation, but also slightly curious. She couldn't help but not to ignore the growing sensation that she wanted to shift. Soon enough. The pub wasn't bad, and she was actually enjoying herself for once, there was no need to rush out of her. Let's see where the night goes.

Watch out for the Bite While listening to what this strange lady was saying towards him, unusually Dusty did not interrupt her one bit, while still listening to her he had managed to pull up a chair, as he lowered himself down towards the chair his army tags clanged together against each other and then against his chest. Hearing her question about did he work here or something. Dusty could not help but let a cheeky smile cross his face. Something is right. I don’t just work here. I own this whole little pub. with some of his words he had said towards her, came out a bit northern British.
After he had spoken those words Dusty gave a little pause because he was just trying to think of a way to ask about her locket, without trying to pry and be rude about it. It is a pleasure to meet you, as well madam. Well I have heard that the forest can get very dangerous on times. Dusty could not help but let a cheeky smile cross his face as he knew how dangerous the forest was, since he was in them not that long ago. I wonder if she has seen me in my wolf form? Nah… I don’t it. I’m pretty careful about not being seen.
This lad was not one for showing off that he was a werewolf unless he knew it was right to his advantage, like when the pup was having one of their rare fights, this handsome chap was able to deal with it no problem. Some did not even question what Dusty really was. I’m surprised nobody has gotten what I am from the name of my pub yet. I thought it was a pretty cleaver inside joke. After the bartender who had came over to the table and walked away from them once again, which is when Dusty began to speak once more. I’m sorry to pry, you can tell me to shut up if I’m going to far, but that is a lovely locket you are wearing. Do you mind telling me where you go it form? This werewolf was asking in a very calm and controlled manner, despite that his mood could change at any given moment.

Giovanna Palladino Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. The shifter couldn’t help herself, her eye’s didn’t stay focused on one thing for too long. She was enjoying herself for once; she didn’t want this feeling to end anytime soon. She watched as Dusty grabbed a seat next to her, taking him in one feature at a time. Her mental file on him began to grow. Dog tags, interesting. She watched as he seemed amused by something, and she realized why. He owns the pub, even more interesting. Gia smirked, now she amused herself, “Ah, well I apologize for assuming you merely were employed here.” She said with a small chuckle. She blinked her eyes slowly, as another note made its way into her file; slight accent, cute and even more interesting. The pieces were slowly coming together; Giovanna took another sip, followed by a large swig of her drink, which was almost gone yet again.
He spoke again, and the shifter couldn’t help but smile. She knew all too well the dangerous of the forest or lack thereof, she was probably the most dangerous thing out there, and the thought entertained her. Although, that one time. Her hazel eyes darted to the floor for a moment, thinking back to that night. The floorboards were now her screen, seeing so clearly that night that she had forgotten about. A shiver shot down her spine, as she looked back a Dusty and gave a faint smile. “Ah, well, I’m a big tough girl. I’m sure I could handle it.” Gia’s smirk grew. Knowing she was well prepared for almost anything. She had even managed to get out of the forest safe that surprising night. I wonder if that panther was still roaming the forest? What in the world was that doing there anyway? The question’s she had long forgotten about had surfaced. Something she did not need, especially tonight. Giovanna took another sip of her drink, and with that finished it. She was enjoying the pub, and the company. She was never against meeting new people, but it was something that she had lost touch with since she had gotten here. Never had she gone so long with barely meeting anyone new, or getting to know the people she had met. Then again, anything that was unusual for her wasn’t that unusual anymore. She hadn’t been herself since the incident. She listened as the man spoke once more. Immediately her heart sunk. The one thing she’s been trying to get over, trying to get away from, was the one thing that had been brought up. Gia’s facial expression remained intact; as always her inside turmoil was expertly masked by her outward appearance. Her hand quickly clasped the silver locket round her neck. Unfortunately, her voice gave her away, “It was a gift.” Gia said with a smile, her voice was a bit shaky. The drinks were starting to get to her. words: 481 • OOC: • outfit:HERE
