Scholarly, Eleanor puts 110% into her school work and studies. Although she's shy, she has recently become determined to put herself out of her comfort zone and into a more social life outside of her studies. Awkward at first, Eleanor becomes a chatty, open person and values friendship. While she views herself as loyal, she can become over protective. She's a respectful girl but will immediately become defensive when asked about her family, especially if she has any sisters. If she finds herself in a conversation she doesn't want to be in, she will abruptly change the subject or walk away. FATHER: Carter Tey (deceased) MOTHER: Mrs. Tey (alive, 41) SIBLINGS: Joyce Tey, twin (alive, missing, 16) Ellie Tey, sister (alive, 17, residency elsewhere) Eian Tey, brother/Ellie’s twin (alive, 17, residency elsewhere) OTHER FAMILY: OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: Austin Jinkins (deceased, Joyce’s long-time-love and practically Eleanor’s brother-in-law) HISTORY: Born the last of her mother four children, two sets of twins, Eleanor and her twin sister Joyce became almost more inseberable from each other than they were from their older siblings, twins Eian and Ellie, a year older than their sisters. Unfortunately, the children never knew their father who died under untold circumstances only two months before Eleanor and Joyce were due. Although their mother never showed her grief, she would immediately put doqn any conversation of their father and remained "Mrs. Tey" or "Mom" to everyone. Through out childhood, it was easy to tell who the good twin was and who the michevious twin was. While Joyce was the more daring, skeptical type, Eleanor stayed placid although she was often talked into joining her sister on her adventures and never backed down from a dare. Joyce often argued with their older siblings and their mother of the legitimacy of things, such as magic and when their abilities would appear, why things had to be the way they were, and anything else she found needed a more complete answer. Eleanor was often chastized by her twin for her silence and acceptance of things and told she should be more outgoing and curious. Eleanor, not wanting to upset her sister, would just nod and go along with the mock debates. While Joyce used her oxygen for questions, Eleanor saved hers to find the answers. She excelled in her studies and was often the one answering to Joyce's miniature interrogations. As they grew older, Joyce and Eleanor stayed close but accepted the different social paths each one took. Eleanor stuck to her quiet group of friends, often study groups or clubs, and Joyce hung out with the loud crowd that went out requently. It wasn't a surprise when Joyce brought a boy to meet Eleanor when they were only 12 years old. Though Ellie and Eian told Eleanor to watch out for him and that Joyce probably wouldn't stick around with him long enough, Joyce seemed determined to stay by this boy''s side and he by hers. It was strange to some as the years went by and the puppy love grew into something deeper. Eleanor knew that her sister had found her mate though. Even when they got their powers at thirteen, Austin accepted them and begged to be apart of Joyce's lessons to help her with her studies. Three years into the relationship, however, reader struck. Just after the girls' 15th birthday, would reached them that an accident had claimed the lives of Austin and his family while they were on vacation. Although the whole family lost someone important to them, it hit Eleanor and Joyce extremely bad. Since being twins, and magi terms at that, they had a deep connection in their feelings; although Eleanor didn't feel a passionate love for Austin, and felt the bond and grew protective of him as well as their friendship grew. Because Eleanor had no male figures in her life besides Eian, she generally despised any male and his dominating instinct. Having Austin around was a pleasant change for her though she kept their friendship strong but distant, only accepting conversation and no offer of help or chivalry. Joyce was so devastated she lashed out at everyone. Even Eleanor. This hurt Eleanor more than anything and Joyce couldn't take the pressure as Eleanor pleaded with her sister to be reasonable. Hive repeatedly ran away until one day their mother didn't bother to report it. For once Eleanor violently struck out at her mother, blaming her for more caring. "She doesn't wish to be found. So I will not give my child anymore pain until she decides to accept here actions. " Eleanor couldn't defy her mother for long and eventually blamed her sister for abandoning her, even ignoring and psychic attempt to reach or feel her. Eleanor continued her studies and while Ellie and Eian stayed with an aunt to continue university at 17 (being exemplary students and passing through high school in a breeze due to their heightened ingenious), Eleanor and get mother moved to a more secluded area to home school to better learn Magi. |
