It manifested a bit of a darker side as she hit her teen years. She's smart and charismatic but she loves to party. She rarely bats an at anything as long as she's having fun. She's loud and blunt, not really caring if what she says something that hurts someone's feelings. She is always moving around and is extremely independent and doesn't take kindly to help, especially from men. Somewhat of a girly-girl (without the frilly dresses) she can still take care of herself and has no qualms about picking a fight when she feels the need to get her point across. They broke up when they graduated but reunited a few years later when they both interned at the same law firm in Manhatten, it was Paul's father's office and Jada just got there by chance. They fell in love all over again, married, and had three sons in the span of six years. Two years later, Jada gave birth to twin girls. Zarina came first and Zoe five minutes later. Zarina was healthy, but Zoe wasn't. She was very sick and died shortly after she was born. Jada didn't take it well and fell into a deep depression. When Zarina turned six, Jada killed herself. To make matters worse, Zarina was the one who found her after she overdosed. She just thought her mother was sleeping, but that became untrue when her father came in. After that, everything was hectic and chaotic. Jada never woke up and Zarina never could truly get over it. Her father and brothers grew worried about her and very overprotective. They didn't want to lose her too. The over protectiveness grew throughout the years, especially when she hit thirteen. She grew more irritated with their insane need to smother her and would rebel regularly. By the time she came into her powers, she found doing what she wanted became easier. It was her father who realized why. He was the one who made her aware of her ability to compel others into doing things she wanted. The ability ran in his family, skipping him and her brothers. Since his father had more experience with the ability than Paul did, since Daniel's late brother had it, he turned to him to help her learn and control it. She was a quick learner, and soon enough was able to control it and understand it perfectly. It worked on everyone she met, which she didn't always like, especially when she couldn't always be sure she wasn't influencing them. When she met Ryder, it was a blessing because no matter how hard she tried she make him do what she wanted. It was later that she found out why. He was a vampire, and apparently her version of her great uncle's power, didn't work on them. She was elated and soon began dating the man against her families protests. It was just another way to rebel and get her way. So, she took it. Her happiness didn't last long. Ryder wasn't as nice of a guy as he let on in the beginning. He had a temper and power to match. Not to mention, he also had a nasty addiction to magi blood and loved to use her for a quick fix. When she fought back or even stood her ground, he would strike back violently, shredding her to bits with his very mind. One of their spats got really nasty and she finally left him, going to Domonic for help. She never made it. He almost killed her that night, slitting her arm so deep she almost bled out. When her father and brothers found out, they all went gunning for him, leaving her with her grandfather who got her fixed as quickly as possible. After she recovered, she enrolled at NYU and tried to get into a normal routine. She did schoolwork on weekdays and took self-defense classes to rebuild her self-confidence. It didn't take long for her to crash and burn. She dropped out and now she's just at a stand still. She has been focusing on having fun ever since. Relaxing seemed to be the better option in all of this. What better way than enjoying herself. |
