FATHER: joseph valyntine [deceased] MOTHER: maria valyntine [deceased] SIBLINGS: joseph valyntine ii - older [deceased] OTHER FAMILY: n/a OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: drake indinero [deceased] HISTORY: san fransisco in 1947 was a bustling city. maya was born to very happy parents. her mother wanted a girl to doll up since her first was a boy. her father worked in a factory and her mother was a stay at home mom. maya never had a problem in school as she grew up, and graduated college at the top of her class, though school wasn't really her forte. she loved watching action movies at the local theater, and wanted nothing more than to play with guns, blades, and all sorts of things. it was her passion since she was young. so, she went to college for weapon tech. it was hard getting in at the time as a female, but she managed by pushing herself even harder and making a fool out of most of the men in her class by knowing more and studying harder. at the age of twenty-five, she flew out to texas with some people in her class for one of the largest gun shows in the nation. after the show, they decided to go out and have a few drinks, where she met a man that had her completely in awe. he was flawless. glistening green eyes, dark hair, and a body that any straight female would drool over. he talked her into going outside with him where it was more quiet, and while she had her back turned he slipped his hand over her mouth and drug her back into the alley-way. she tried to fight him but he was strong. stronger than any man she'd ever known. a sharp pain lit through her neck and that was the last thing she remembered. the next thing she knew she woke up in a dark room, the man that drug her into the alley standing in the corner with a smirk on her face. automatically, maya exploded; not knowing what was going on. he quickly told her he hadn't hurt her, then laughed and said kind of. he explained to her that his name was drake indinero, and that he was a vampire. maya, of course, laughed and told him he was crazy and that she wanted to go home. he then began to explain to her that he had also changed her into what he was. again, she didn't believe him; calling him insane. he then slid a blade across neck, and the scent of blood was so powerful it knocked the wind out of her. what frightened her the most was the fact her throat burned for it. she wanted it. with unnatural speed she launched herself at him, sinking her new fangs deep within his throat. maya never truly returned to school after that. drake told her she needed to drop out, he would pay off her tuition, and that she needed to go with him. so, they went to las vegas. they stayed rouge for the longest time, though two powerful clans were there. drake explained to her that it was a lot more simple to be alone. even when drake was off on his own, he always let her know where he was through the connection. he taught her a lot in the city of sin. she became a skilled fighter and killer. he taught her how to hunt, how to track, and how to make a clean kill. then, the day came that she lost drake. the werewolves were bulking, and they were destroying rouges left and right. in an angry battle, that maya tried her hardest to get to, drake was killed. she was devastated. rage flooded her body, but she couldn't do anything. so she fled. she hit the shadows and stayed quiet and on the low. the clan vinci was in need of a bounty hunter. word had gotten to her, so she went to see the clan leader. her heart was bitter, and so her attitude shifted. she went from a beautiful girl with a malicious skill, but a good heart. now, she was cold. she had no care. nothing bothered her. all she had left was the talent she possessed and she would use it to its fullest. |
