EDMUND AGRIAS MCNEAL 29 SHIFTER JOSH BREEDING SAMUEL | TIMEZONE: central NICKNAME(S): Ed or Eddy if you wish to earn his ire DATE OF BIRTH: 9/14/1985 DATE OF CHANGE: Huh? BIRTHPLACE: Elko, Nevada HOMETOWN: New York City/ Elko, Nevada CURRENT RESIDENCE: Las Vegas, Nevada DIET: Human food. MAIN ANIMAL: Warthog SCARS/MARKS: has a large birthmark on his left forearm. LIKES: DISLIKES: STRENGTHS: WEAKNESSES: HABITS/QUIRKS: FEARS: SECRETS: GOALS: PERSONALITY: While Edmund lacks social skills he still has enough tact to evade coming off as an asshat; he knows when he has offended somebody. In these cases he is quick to apologize unless, of course, offense was the intention. In general Edmund seems happy enough, but behind his smile lies the potential for terrible deeds if pushed hard enough. This potential displays itself when Edmund feels he has no other option than to fight, or when somebody tries to take (or even haggle for) his ring. He usually smirks before striking without warning, taking the first and, among humans, usually last action of the encounter. Though Edmund has been known to attack people on occasion, he is usually pretty tolerant about being mocked or otherwise heckled. Even being harassed physically seldom brings out this side of him. Another thing to note is that he has almost no experience with those who are more than human. This is not to say that he fears the supernatural world, (except vampires, God those guys are freaks...) he is just unacquainted with it FATHER: Patrick McNeal. Deceased MOTHER: Marie Baker. Shifter. Alive SIBLINGS: Younger half-Sister On father's side. Alive OTHER FAMILY: None OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: HISTORY: Patrick and Marie were not together long before Edmund's story began. Nor were they for long after, for that matter. Soon after Edmund was born did things sour and his parents split with his father having custody, Life went well enough until Ed's father started dating a woman and a short few months later the two had a shotgun wedding. The woman did not want to raise a child that was not hers biologically, causing friction between her and Edmund. This friction caused problems between Ed and Patrick. By the end of his ninth year of life Edmund was being struck by his father without warning. Edmund's relationship with his half sister Andrea was not ideal either. In his eyes the entire situation could have been ended by her if she exposed what was happening in their house. This thought kept him going Until around the time he turned thirteen when he realized that by that time if Andrea was going to blow the whistle she would have already. Over time being struck escalated to being beaten, and Edmund began to resent his old man. When Ed was seventeen he resolved that Patrick would die before he turned eighteen. Vengeance came early one night in the middle of spring. Andrea was out with friends, Edmund's step mother was asleep, and Patrick was... less then sober. If there was ever an opportunity to end the latter two's lives, Edmund guessed it would be now. While Edmund would have loved to have stayed human just so that Patrick would have been able to see his face before dying, a bear wandering into civilization would be a good enough disguise for his kill. The Maulings were quick and rather unsatisfying to Edmund. He had planned on making his father's quick, and it was. But the damned woman! It was almost as if she made no attempt to cling to life just to spite him once more! Killing her did not bring him the joy he anticipated. With how Edmund a had spent almost his whole life building up to patricide and step-matricide (if that is even a thing,) Edmund felt almost disappointed with the bloody climax Edmund did not remain in his house for more than an hour after a "bear" mauled his caregivers. The only reason he was even inside the home for more than a minute after was to collect a ring that had belonged to his mother and a few other minor sentimental trinkets. If Ed knew Andrea would not return that night he surely would have collected a few more. With his two most hated people lying in pools of blood, Edmund turned his attention to something he hadn't considered: Why was he able to shapeshift? A question that would easily be answered by his mother if she was around, but Edmund knew neither where she was nor that he had inherited his abilities to begin with. Sure some people smelled odd, but again, Ed was largely unaware of the supernatural world beyond himself. Edmund did not stray from his home state and found himself in the smallest, cheapest apartment available in Las Vegas. Here he somehow managed to gather enough money to stay sheltered and fed waiting on tables at a nearby restruant. The search for other shapeshifters remains unsuccessful. |
