He wishes to make good impressions on people with what he wears. When he isn't immediately busy with Vinci tasks, he likes to wear casual clothing. MAGI ABILITY: N/A LIKES: DISLIKES: STRENGTHS: WEAKNESSES: HABITS/QUIRKS: FEARS: SECRETS: GOALS: PERSONALITY: Ezio, while he may look and act like a big brute much of the time, is actually a really big softie. To say that he's like a big cuddly teddy bear would be the biggest understatement of the century. He's extremely kind and sensitive, though he has grown very used to hiding who he really is and what he feels. He hates to see when people are in pain, and it especially effects him in the case of the supernatural black market and the were arenas. While he was trained as if he were a gladiator, that doesn't mean that he wants to see people fight and die like them. Over his many years of life death has started to effect him rather harshly. So much so that he refuses to kill animal, human, or magi to obtain his blood. He's made a deal with the local blood bank to have blood delivered to him every week. This vampire is extremely protective of those that he cares about. Because he arrived in Las Vegas at about the time the entire city formed, he feels like the place is his to protect. He cares for every single person as if they were his own children, though he never got to have any of his own. Thus, he's not an advocate for the war that his family and the Markov family are starting to push for. He doesn't agree with their reasonings and he's started to come to the point where he wants nothing to do with any of it. With the tensions that are starting to rise between his father and Markov, Ezio has found himself at a crossroads. He knows that any war they start will likely destroy the entirety of Las Vegas, and all he has been able to focus on have been the people that will be effected by it. As Ezio is a naturally loyal and caring person, he wants to side with his father, but his feelings for his city and the people in it (both supernatural and human) have started to overwhelm him. He's grown to be more outspoken and open about his anger toward his father and Markov about what they are doing to his city. He's started to show great dissent and disloyalty toward his father, and it's causing him a great amount of pain. Ezio, while he's not an advocate of the fighting, will fight for what he thinks is right. For now he is maintaining his status in the Vinci and doing what is being told of him. He doesn't know how much longer he will be able to take it, so he's keeping a low profile and only working small jobs. He's refused to have anything to do with magi or capturing those of another species, so he has simply been taking care of the families many properties in Downtown Las Vegas. Ezio is not a pacifist. He does believe that some things can be solved with a fist, though in the case of his family's feud, he's trying to take the high road. He's extremely hardheaded and is never one to give up. He's also quick to snap if he's provoked, so it's best to steer clear of topics that may set him off. FATHER: Nicolai Vinci [Alive] MOTHER: --- Vinci [Deceased] SIBLINGS: --- Vinci [Older Brother, Alive] OTHER FAMILY: N/A OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: Grigori Markov [Father's Enemy] HISTORY: Ezio Vinci, the youngest child of Nicolai Vinci, was born in the stifling heat of Florence's summer. His mother died a few months after his birth, so he never really knew her. From a young age, Ezio was fascinated with the world and all of its splendors. He was constantly out exploring the city with his brother. Because of them having been born in the midst of the Italian Renaissance, they always found something interesting and new to observe or explore. The city was flourishing with art, music, and literature and they were never bored. However, the thing that drew Ezio in the most was the men that fought in the dark and abandoned areas of the city. Whenever Ezio was alone, he would seek out this group of unruly men and watch from the shadows. He was absolutely struck by these men and their will for battle. At first they never noticed him, as they moved from place to place in fear of getting caught. He found them every time and eventually a few of them let him know that they knew he was there. After their skirmishes, they would sit down with Ezio and simply talk. Ezio learned that these men were descendents of gladiators and some of the greatest fighters that ever lived. They strove to be the strongest that they could be and aspired to be just like their ancestors. This notion drew Ezio in considerably, and soon he was begging for the chance to fight too. At first they didn't allow him to, as he was only sixteen, because they wanted to train him first. After a year or two of training with a few select members of the group, he was finally allowed to fight. The battles weren't ever to the death, however, so he never ended up too injured. He enjoyed his training and the battles, and he easily became a great warrior. He had an incredible knack for reading body language and anticipating his opponents attacks, their next move, and even whether they were telling him the truth about something or not. All by watching their body language and the way that they moved or watched him. He hid the fact of his extra curricular activities from his father and brother the entire time. He always had some excuse as to why he was bruised or sore and always put it off and simply admitted that he was really clumsy. In the times that he wasn't fighting or doing little jobs for his father, he wrote. It was a simple past time and one that he enjoyed tremendously. It gave him a much needed break from the exhausting nights when he fought and the adrenaline spikes that would often grip him for hours on end when it was his night to fight. After a few more years of fighting at nights and working with his father during the day, Ezio finally met his match. He'd one every single one of the fights that he'd ever been a part of, and this fight was no different. He bested the wrong person in battle, and at first he wasn't sorry about it. He felt that he had won fair and square and there was nothing that could have changed his mind about that. At least that was how he felt at first. That was before he was attacked on the street by the very man he had bested in battle. The moments he spent fighting this man again were the last moments he ever experienced of his human life. When he woke in his new life, he was digging himself from a dirt grave. He was completely alone and there was this insatiable burning in the back of his throat. At first he thought it was just because he might have swallowed some dirt, but as he made his way back into the city, he started to find himself drifting toward the humans. His throat burn so badly around them that he pulled a woman into an alley and drained her of blood. He didn't know what he had done until he came off a momentary high and saw the woman dead at his feet. The incident horrified him and he instantly ran home. Over the months, he tried not to let on what had happened, but he couldn't avoid the fact that the sun had become his enemy and human blood had become his obsession. He tried to go on with his fighting matches, but he was so terrified of killing someone that he usually stood on the sidelines and observed. What he discovered about himself during those times was simply amazing. With his new found power, he found that he had a special ability. Every move that someone made, he could predict with extreme accuracy what their next one would be. All by simply casting his mind out around him and reading the people around him. He had already been great at reading a persons body language, now all he could sense everyone and everything around him and the way that they would move. He spent months practicing with his power, learning that he could only feel within a certain radius at every angle. It didn't take more than a year for his father and brother to figure out what had happened to him. It also didn't take very long for them to suffer through the same change that Ezio had. Ezio had gotten used to the shift in reality and was easily able to help his father and brother through their own transition. Having become immortal creatures of the night, they soon found that people were growing suspicious of how they didn't age. They escaped Rome and moved onto another city in Italy. Because of their sudden move, they hadn't been able to take most of their belongings with them. Ezio, wanting to make up for the lack of money that the held, started to work as a warrior for hire. He started training with blades, wanting to find a way to keep people at a little more arms length, as it would always be weird for a hired sword to fight with his bare hands, especially during the Italian Wars. He gained a love for blades of all types and he even loved fighting with them. It was like they were an extension of himself. Even though he doesn't use them much anymore, he still keeps a large collection in his quarters today. The years passed and Ezio's father soon took them across the sea to the new world. They settled in Harper Valley at first but then moved onto a different town, wanting to keep the fact that they were vampires out of the minds of the people there. The family stuck together all through various events and incidents. It wasn't long before they met Grigori Markov. The man became a close family friend and a business partner to the family. They eventually settled down in Las Vegas together and started the supernatural black market. Eventually Nicolai Vinci and Markov grew to be at odds with one another, breaking off from their partnership and becoming rivals to one another. Since then there has been battles for territory and power between the two families and their workers. Ezio has simply stood out of the way of the fighting, not really interested in bringing himself into the feud between his father and Markov. He's looked at the state in which Las Vegas is starting to fall into and he's grown unhappy and worried for the people who live there. Up to this point he has simply held back his feelings and opinions, waiting for the time in which he may be able to talk sense into the both of them and stop the war that's threatening to tear Las Vegas apart. He is extremely effected by the supernatural black market and is very aware of the resistance, and he has started to side with the Resistance over the past few years. He will fight for what he believes in, regardless of how much trouble it may get him into. |
