Margaret had just got started in this town. "A new town, a new life" she kept telling herself. She wanted to be open to new things, so she decided to go out to eat. Usually she'd just stay at home, and make herself a sandwich or something. She always thought restaurant foods were nasty and greasy, but it could be different here. I mean she did originate here so it couldn't be that bad. She made her way out of her apartment and into her car. It was a small four door white car. She pulled out of the parking lot and stopped at a stop light. She set her phone up so that the GPS would tell her how to get to The Silver Bird Bar & Grille. It said on the app she downloaded that it was a pretty popular restaurant, so why not try it out. She was nervous though, she had ever been out and about in this town. All she had done was purchase an apartment and get moved in. Today was only her second day here, so why not go out and potentially meet somebody. She finally pulled into the restaurant parking lot. Even though she thought she was excited, her heart started to race. She was at a new town and this could be the first impression she could have on many people. What happen if her clumsiness shows, and she breaks something. Maybe she should just go home, and never come out. It would be okay she could just sneak into the grocery store when its late and get food when nobody is there. Nobody has to know she even moved here. This was all bullcrap, all she was doing was going out to eat. It's not like she's going to burn down the whole damn building. She took and deep breath and stepped out of the car. She locked the door and quickly made her way into the restaurant. There were only abut ten people there so she started to calm down. The hostess sat her down at a table, and asked her what she wanted to drink. She asked for a water, and the waitress walked away. Then it hit here. She has only been here for two days, and she's been more open to everything. She's been willing to try new things and that made her smile. She still had some worries of first impressions so she decided to go check herself in the mirror. She stood up, but something hit her. She stumbled backwards and fell. She looked over and saw a girl and gasped. Her heart SUNK Lyrics from Turning Tables by Adele. Picture by Aurora. Table by (( Aurora !! of Caution 2.0.

Giovanna Palladino Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. Things have been interesting lately. Days filled with reading and research, nights filled with adventures in the forest and peaceful sleep. However, Gia couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable, knowing that there was someone else out there who knew about her. The thought instantly sent a shiver up her spine. The dim lighting in the library had gotten to her, and it was about time for a food break. She gently placed her hand on her stomach; the beginning of hunger pangs confirmed her suspicions. Giovanna had the tendency to focus on her work so intently that everything around her disappears, almost as if she was in her own little bubble, everything else was insignificant, even her own body’s needs.
The shifter put all the books back in their appropriate resting places, and she gathered her things and made her way out of the library into the brisk winter air. She adjusted her scarf as she felt the air make its way down her neck, down her chest, reaching her stomach. “Hmm, where to get some food?” Gia twisted her mouth, as various options ran through her mind. One placed called out to her, the grille. She had been there previously, introduced to it by a new acquaintance. It was a quaint place, it what history, plus the food was amazing. Her stomach growled in agreement, and with that, she was off down the road the town’s center. Main Street, the heart of the town, where almost everything was located. It was moderately busy, as she saw faces pass her by; she couldn’t single any one particular person out.
Giovanna made her way into the grille; the warmth of the place was refreshing from the cold outside. She followed the hostess to a seat near the back. She placed her purse in the booth, and proceeded to take off her scarf and jacket when suddenly someone who had seemed to stumble accidentally bumped her. Her weight shifted slightly as she tried to balance herself. Relieved that she didn’t fall, Giovanna continued to take off her jacket and place it on the seat. She looked at the girl who looked utterly shocked and embarrassed, “Are you okay?” She asked. Accidents happen, she was aware of it, she was just lucky that she didn’t get hurt.

Never had she ever made a worse first impression. She had moved to different places in her life. She had moved to a new school one time, and she had a good impression. She made friends and they stuck together. Now she had moved to a town where she had originated from, and her first time out she ran smack into another person. Was she blind? Obviously the girl was standing right there. There was no way to miss her, but just to Margaret's luck she did. She lay there staring up at the girl. When the girl asked if she was okay she began to calm down. She took a couple deep breaths and stood up. She brushed herself off hoping to make it seem like she was okay. Inside her heart was still racing hoping that this girl wouldn't hate her forever and drive her out of this town. I guess you could say that Margaret was overreacting. I mean all she did was accidentally run into her. It's not like she killed her whole family and ran away without a trace. She smiled at the girl and took another deep breath. She hoped that if she got to know this person better that they might be able to be friends. It was only her first week in the town. She needed to become friendly with the townspeople. "I'm really sorry. I'm just a clumsy person." Margaret stated. She nodded and bent down to pick up her phone that had fallen out of her pocket. She stuck it back in the backside of her pants. "My name is Margaret Partrich. I wish we could've met in a different way, but here we are" She said with a little giggle. She decided to play it off like it wasn't that big of a deal. She outstretched her hand hoping that the girl would accept her apology and give her a good ol' handshake. Lyrics from Turning Tables by Adele. Picture by Aurora. Giovanna Palladino Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. The shifter’s mind had been clouded, and as soon as it began to clear up it became preoccupied with new things to constantly be thinking about. She could never get a moment of silence, and the constant clutter had really gotten to her. She was losing her ability to be observant, everything around her was just becoming a big blur, not only that be her reactions to things she would normally see coming were all but got. It was starting to bother her. In all honesty she knew she should have see the girl falling before it happened, she should have been completely aware of everything around her, all of her senses seemed, dead.
If only there was a way for her to really clear her mind, fully, that would allow her to get back to her old self. Maybe she needed a little bit more than her nightly trek into the forest. Gia put that thought aside and focused whatever was left of her attention to the situation at hand. She watched as the girl composed herself. “Not to worry, things happen.” Gia said politely with a faint smile. She blinked a few times as her eyes gazed out the window by her table, then looked back at the girl who introduced herself as Margaret. Her hungry pangs began to make their presence known again. Gia offered a friendly smile, “Everything always happens for a reason.” She said as she shrugged and her eyebrow slightly arched. The shifter felt slightly off, but couldn’t pin point the reason behind it. It was almost if being bumped rattled something inside her, and as of now, she was going to pay extra attention to it. She gently placed her hand on her stomach, knowing that it wouldn’t settle her hunger. She watched as Margaret offered her hand, Gia responded, removing her hand from her stomach and extending her arm to complete the handshake. For now, everything was fine, for now it will say that way. Her smile grew wider, “It’s a pleasure to meet you Margaret, My name is Giovanna. Would you like to join me?” She said kindly as she motioned to her table. Regardless if the girl would accept her offer, she slid into the booth, impatiently waiting for the waitress to arrive so she could place her order. words: 389 • OOC: • outfit:HERE

Margaret decided to rethink everything in her head. Her reasoning on leaving her family and coming here. Here reasoning to start a life here without knowing anything. Her reasoning to open herself up to the public. There was only one explanation to all of this. She wanted to know her past. She had always lived her life in the now. Just going with the flow and reacting to the reality she lived in. Her life began to bore her, and she decided to uproot, and move to where her family originated from. She knew she was different. She was something called a 'Magi'. She doesn't really like to come forward and just say this to people. She had no idea if they would send her to some government research lab and give everyone the ability to do as she. Her family had told her that it ran in the family to have the ability of a Magi. Both her parents were, and her grandparents and so on. They originated here so there was something different about this town. Whether it be the fact that she was a witch, and it was because of this town. Or that her mind wondered if this was the best idea to move out here. Her mom was from here, and met her dad here. There had to be a reason for them moving out. She needed to get to the bottom of it. She shook her head and realized, again, where she was. She was at the grille with a girl she had just smacked right into. She realized the girl had shaken her hand. She watched as the girl invited her to sit down with her. She smiled and sat down. She noticed that the gurl had a confused look on her face. She picked up a menu, and saw that they had chicken strips here. She loved chicken. It was the only meat she ate, and she would never pass up the opportunity to eat some. She looked up at the dark haired girl. She could sense something off about her. Something was different about, and she couldn't put her finger on it. She dusted off the feelings and looked around for the waitress. "So, Giovanna. Tell me about the town. I just moved in a couple days ago, and I know nothing." She smiled again hoping that Giovanna would know that Margaret was friendly. All of a sudden an odd shiver went down her back. She knew this feeling. Margaret has always had the ability to talk to spirits. The dead trapped on earth with no way out. Roaming around trying to complete themselves. This was the feeling she got when one connected with her. She quickly looked around. Then she saw him. He was sitting next to Giovanna. He had short brown hair. His eyes were a deep brown. He had pale skin like all the spirits. But there were sores all over him. She recognized the sores, they were burn sores. She stared wide eyed at him forgetting everything around her. "Hello Margaret..." The man said looking away. Lyrics from Turning Tables by Adele. Picture by Aurora. Table by (( Aurora !! of Caution 2.0.

Giovanna Palladino Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. Gia waited patiently, ignoring the menu in front of her. Her mind was already made up, she knew what she wanted, and she tried her best to stop herself from thinking about it. Unfortunately, it was all she could think about at the moment, and the more she did the more her mouth watered. Giovanna rubbed her round hazel eyes gently, as they were still irritated from the dim lighting of the library. She gandered out the window for a split second as her eyes were still having a hard time adjusting day. Perhaps she needed to spend her time elsewhere. It was a library, she could take the books home with her, that was kind of their thing. Although, she didn’t want to be seen with those books. Looking back at Margaret, she was pleased to see that she had accepted her invitation.
It was becoming harder to ignore the dull pain in the pit of her stomach, but she drudged on, and focused on an attempting to answer the Margaret’s question. The shifter clasped her hands together, and brought them to her mouth, “Hmm, Well I don’t know how much help I’d be but I can try my best.” Gia said as she twisted her mouth, contemplating how to elaborate. It was true, Giovanna had been her awhile, close to a year now, and yet, she was still oblivious to most of the town. She had met very few people here, and although she was almost never home, there were only a handful of places she really ever went. The thought troubled her greatly. She began to feeling her mind trying to take over. Not now.
Gia tilted her head slightly, observing the girl in front of her as she did with most people she met, keeping mental notes. Various faces and information rushed threw her mind, as she made room for Margaret. It was the one thing she was good at. Once she met someone, she would never forget them. “I like it here a lot. Is there anything specific you would like to know?” Gia continued to try her best in helping the new girl. She felt bad that she could not be of more assistance. The shifter turned her head swiftly to the waitress that was finally at their table. “I’ll have iced tea with a lemon please.” She said politely. She looked back at Margaret who looked utterly bewildered. Gia was slightly concerned, she furrowed her brows and leaned forward slightly, “Um, I’m ready to order if you are. If not no rush.” She said slowly, giving a faint smile back at the waitress. words: 440 • OOC: • outfit:HERE

Moving to a new town Margaret thought that things would change. She thought that she could escape her old life. The death of her mom, the abandonment of her father, and even more. She mainly thought she could escape the stress of seeing dead people like their alive. Sure enough the first time out in this dreadful town she meets one. The scariest thing is he knows her. His obvious cause of death was a burn, but how does he know her. Did he die in a fire near her apartment building? This she probably wouldn't know for a while. She stared into his eyes hoping to get a feeling of why he was talking to her. He just sat there as she started at him. He didn't move, he didn't react, he didn't care. This must be very important. She took a big gulp and nodded at him. He let a small giggle and put his hands on the table. He then winked at her. Her heart started to race, and she winked back. She hoped that this would show that she wasn't too scared of him. He then took a breath, which made her confused. "There are too many secrets here. Be warned" He stated. All of sudden her vanished. Her heart skipped a beat. What could he mean by this. Obviously non humans had originated here so something was different. She started to shake, but quickly stopped realizing she was sitting across from a new friend. Her eyes widened and she looked around. Giovanna was staring at her, and so was the waitress. She assumed that it was probably time to order. Her mind had a flashback, and she remembered the chicken strips. She closed up her menu and looked up at the beautiful waitress. "I'll have a... water. The chicken... um.... strips to eat..." She said trying to catch her breath. For some reason the far of the place she was at was taking over her. Lyrics from Turning Tables by Adele. Giovanna Palladino Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. The shifter’s eyes remained on Margaret, curious as to what had seemed to occupy her mind enough to spook her. There was a small sense of relief when she spoke, yet there was definitely something going on. Gia decided to not pry at the moment seeing as her stomach made her aware that it was time to order. Her eyes darted back to the waitress, “And I’ll have a hamburger medium well with extra pickles please!” She said eagerly. She felt her mouth water as the thought of a nice juicy burger filled her head. Gia watched as the waitress smiled and nodded her head, and watched as she made her way to the kitchen. “I’m starving, hopefully it won’t take too long.” Giovanna said as her eyes made their way back to Margaret. The curiosity was starting to take over; she bit her lip, fighting herself from asking.
Her mind began to wander, thinking of all the places she had been, all the people she had gotten to know. Things shouldn’t change now, but then again everything’s changed hasn’t it? There shouldn’t be anything holding her back from moving forward, even if she isn’t doing things the same that’s okay, sometimes change is good. Especially if what she is doing now is something she is passionate about, but it doesn’t mean that she should forget who she was, who she is. Gia felt her mind beginning to take over. This needed to stop.
She was relieved when she saw the waitress come back with their drinks. Gia took a sip of her refreshing drink, took a deep breath and smiled at Margaret. “Not to pry but is everything okay?” She asked cautiously. She knew what it felt like to be asked questions that she didn’t want to answer, so she always try to be considerate to others, but clearly it was something sudden, and had caught her off guard. What could it be? The shifter couldn't help but ask.
