FATHER: walter michael andrews - alive MOTHER: julia elaine andrews - alive SIBLINGS: n/a OTHER FAMILY: n/a OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: n/a HISTORY: grace had always been the golden girl growing up. her family is very well known in harper valley, they are rather wealthy, and she has always had a very bright future ahead of her. living in a small town was something a lot of girls hated, but grace loved it. it was her kingdom. she'd always been happy, healthy, and so very full of life as a child and an early teenager. it wasn't until she was fourteen that things darkened grace's world slightly. her father had always been the type of man to hide away in his study when he got home from work, and to be up until crazy hours of the night. she never really thought anything of it until one tuesday night he asked her to go and talk to him. what he asked her will be burned into the back of grace's mind for the rest of her life. grace... do you believe in fairy tales? he asked her. grace kind of laughed. like snow white and cinderella? she questioned, trying to get a peek at the book opened up in front of him. she could never get into his office to snoop through his books because he kept it locked all the time. it drove her crazy, but there wasn't really anything she oculd do. no... like vampires and werewolves and witches and warlocks. he said, dragging out each creatures name slowly. grace was taken back. he sounded so serious. no...? no, dad, why? she asked, her curiosity getting a lot more powerful than it ever has been. good. i'm glad to hear that. just... be careful at night, grace. please? he asked before dismissing her to get ready for bed. for days grace didn't sleep. she was so curious about what her dad asked her that for. so, one night, she got on the internet and searched each creatures name. she read and read and read, but everything sounded so ridiculous and far-fetched that she finally just let it go and pushed it to the back of her mind. she had so much more to worry about. she was just starting high school, and had a whole new world in front of her that she had to worry about. she was apart of the cheer leading squad, she was in all honors classes. she didn't have time to slack off and worry about the "fairy tales" her dad asked her about. the only thing that bothered her was the dark. she didn't like night time and tried her best not to be alone when walking out in the darkness. it was just something that stuck with her when her dad made her promise to be careful. now grace is in her senior year of high school. she's popular, she's captain of the cheer team, shes on the homecoming court, and she has the eyes of one of the most handsome boys in school. what more could she every ask for when living a normal, human life? |
