Hush little baby, don't say a word Never mind that noise you heardIt's just the beast under your bed In your closet, in your head!
Meenah hated the cold, she couldn't stand it. She was a wolf yes, and winter never bothered wolves but she didn't like snow very much, only made due with it because it made a certain wolf she was fond of happy. No matter of that now, she was out taking a stride through Las Vegas, the canopy of snow blanketed the leaf barren trees as her snow boots crunched into the the freezing over snow before she shivered lightly. Grateful of the fact that with being a wolf she wasn't all that bothered by snow she moved her way through the park. Admiring the way the streetlight's rays played upon the freshly fallen snow. She paused within her stride before she chewed her bottom lip, listening to the bustle within the streets not to far off as well as the cars speeding too and fro on the roads that crisscrossed around the park as she buried her hands into her jacket for warmth. Feeling them numbing from the cold before she slowly sat down. Admiring the night, thankful it wasn't a full moon she glanced up at the stars that shown bright tonight.
How she loved the stars, the sound of silence as the wind gently blew. She couldn't wait for spring or summer. When she would just sit outside and listen to the cicadas and crickets chirp in the night as the soft summer air would brush at the nape of her neck. She closed her eyes, she could smell the fresh air of summer now. How the leaves would radiate oxygen to the sky due to the sun gracing their leaves before the roll of thunderstorms would start. Meenah was the type of woman to run in the rain, get soak and wet and not care. Ah those days she just couldn't wait!!
As snow drifted on her nose however she scowled slightly and opened her eyes, it was snowing... again? She huffed, Nikolai would have fun with that more then she did seeing he grew up in a nice cool place where she came from a different part where it was warmer. She was the kinda dog that didn't want to be cold, she liked laying in the sun and all that jazz. Pulling up the collar of her coat she moved through the park once more and sighed sharply as she took a turn before accidentally bumping into someone and into a large heap of snow.
She squeaked, trying to get out of the snow like a cat in water before she huffed falling forward and shivered. "Oh god, i think there's snow in my pants. God dammit." she muttered as she slowly stood up, dusting herself. Stupid snow and stupid cold, stupid weather and stupid temperature. She continuously grumbled within her head before she stood up straight, blowing her blonde hair from her face. Instead of snapping at the person she had bumped into like normal people being the rude asses they were she looked at him and smiled shyly and shrugged.
"Sorry that was my fault, wasn't watching where i was going like a dumb ass tonight. You okay?" She asked, folding her arms against her chest as she looked him over giving him an expectant look to make sure he was alright before she smiled softly at him.

Edmund, do you want to die walking home from a movie starring two sad, fragile old men who belong in geriatric wards yet just can't give up their action packed glory days? I certainly hope not! That's pathetic! Ed scolded himself for misjudging how late he would get out of the movie and the travel time back to his apartment. The path back to his apartment, by the way, lead through some bad neighborhoods for shifters at night. Which is why when he got a feeling he was being followed Edmund picked up the pace back home.
With panic setting in from believing his cause of death was approaching, Edmund was pretty jumpy when a woman bumped into him while he was cutting through a park. His first reaction was to ready himself for a fight, or at least a bluff, as if thing got serious, Ed would be fleeing as a hog in a matter of seconds. He had learned that warthogs, while not the fastest, cut corners amazingly well. That is how they stay alive, in fact.
But this proved to be unnecessary, seeing as how the lady laid his fears to rest with an apology and seemingly honest concern. "Don't worry about it, I'm fine." Edmund said, "You aren't throwing me in any sort of arena, by chance?" He doubted it, but Edmund was also still sizing up this stranger. The running option was still totally on the table. The thought that she was not a were never entered Edmund's racing mind.

Would you dance with me tonight In the serious moonlightBrighter than the stars above you shine And the loving feels alright
The blonde laughed softly at the fidgeting shifter as she listened to his dismissal of her apology, following an assumption upon his life. Folding her arms against her chest as she tapped her fingers against her arm, pursing her lips together to hid a smirk that was playing along her face. ”What gives you the impression that I am a cannibal of a cousin to my own kind?” she laughed shaking her head as her blond wavy hair fell over shoulders, coming undone from the messy bun it had been in before.
”I don’t think I’d put you in an Arena, shifty so you can calm your tits.” She teased before she slowly grinned, shivering slightly she rubbed her arms. Providing more friction for more heat through her body before she sighed softly, this was why at times during winter she preferred her wolf form to her mortal form. Ah well, at least it was a half moon tonight meaning she didn’t have to be all moody and everything though it did contradict the fact that she liked being a wolf during the winter. Sighing softly dismissing her thoughts before she watched the shifter male before. He seemed like he was cautious, afraid he’d get attacked or eaten. She was a wolf why would she eat, she sniffed the air and quirked a brow.
A warthog? Curious, she did a thoughtful face but she tilted her head to the side. Nah she wouldn’t eat him, she preferred human food and deer after all. Those hunts were very much fun. Chewing her bottom lip she slowly held out her hand to him. ”Anyways, I’m Meenah Gregorio by the way. I’m a werewolf so I don’t think you have to worry about me chomping you or anything. I’m more into McDonald’s and Deer. You know gotta watch my figure… well no not really I don’t watch my figure I really love food so… but human food!” she rambled before she curled her hands away as she drew her hand back. Maybe she was a bit too talkative today? Ah she didn’t know, she didn’t know how to approach more people. She wasn’t very social at times, always wandering. Gaining inspiration and new experiences. It made everything all the more exciting in her life, but also lonely. Her thoughts slowly drifted to her very dear friend Nikolai… ah, her thoughts playing his features within her mind. The mere thought of him caused her heart to race before she slammed back to reality and coughed. Flushing at her embarrassing venture to be dazed off.
”Oh uh hum, sorry about that. Uh do you want to get some cocoa or something? It’s kinda cold out here and it’s kinda obvious that you’re afraid of being jumped. What better way of going home or somewhere near where you live with a she wolf that is old enough to be your great great great…. Yea too many greats I’m not going into detail with that. Come on I’m buying!” She smiled, she didn’t how overbearing or overwhelming her need of socialization was but she was wanting to make the shifter feel alright. A familiar thing she did with all those that pertained to her species in some shape or form. Except vampires because she was vampire racist, not that she would admit she was. It all had to do with first impressions and how you treated her to the resort of her attitude toward the person.

"Calm my tits?" How eloquent Edmund thought with a chuckle. Though he was still a little leery, having no group backing him to fall back on and all, that one sentence convinced him that this were was honestly not looking to eat him. Or whatever they do. Anyway, the point is that this she wolf did not seem to want to hurt him. That was good news.
She extended a hand and said her name, then a few rambling thoughts. Ed was more convinced than ever that the werewolf now known to him as Meenah (a strange name to Edmund, but his wasn't that common this century, so whatever) was not out to hurt him. Why would an abductor ramble? Exactly, they wouldn't. He was about to take the extended hand before it was pulled back, leaving Edmund a bit confused for a second. Why would somebody pull back from a handshake? Or at least it was weird in this context. The shifter was also going to introduce himself before Meenah left some sort of daze and spoke once more, this time offering both food and protection of sorts.
Edmund's face lit up at the mere mention of cocoa. The hog that he is, consumption was a pastime of his. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in some cocoa. Any place in mind? I know a place on fifteenth street, down the street from my apartment. I could get you a discount." The place he spoke of was this workplace, and the discount was, you guessed it, the employee discount. "Oh!" The word burst from Edmund's lips. "I'm Edmund McNeal, by the way. Nice to meet ya, Meenah."
The adaptability and sheer strength of mind of the warthog is something to be admired. This strength of mind combined with Edmund's expectation that he would get killed or taken by a wolf or vampire allowed him to not even notice the cold. With the security of this stranger the latter was dying down, and the realization that the temperature was far from acceptable came to the shifter. What the hell happened? He moved to a desert so he wouldn't have to deal with cold! "Huh, kinda chilly." Was all that he said on the subject.

Would you dance with me tonight In the serious moonlightBrighter than the stars above you shine And the loving feels alright
The werewolf shook out of her daze and softly smiling as she quickly grabbed his hand before he pulled it away and softly shook it before removing her hand in case she would startle him. "Nice to meet you Edmund." She chuckled softly tucking her blond hair behind her ear as she wrapped her arms against her chest before she smiled when he took up on her offer of cocoa and gestured for him to lead as she watched him. The wind had a chill to it that caused even Meenah to shiver due to the cold, with her nose she was able to track down which place he spoke of and nodded for him to follow even if he knew the way as she pulled her coat tightly around her frame.
"Sure is, i am not a big fan of winter weather. Strange i know coming from a werewolf that can spout fur whenever the moon is out. Well not really well kinda really, let's just get cocoa..." She spoke with a soft chuckle as her hair wisped lightly within her face and she blew at it to leave her mouth before she chewed her bottom lip. Making it to the cafe she opened the door with her shoulder, hearing the occasional ding and felt the wash of warmth and the scent of pastries and cocoa in whiffed in the air. A smile graced her lips as she slipped inside waiting for him as she scratched the side of her neck as she slipped into a table that the waiter addressed to her and shook her head on if they or she was ready to order. Of which they weren't because he was not here at the particular moment to order but she could wait. She'd warm up first and watch as the customer's around her either laughed with their loved ones. Were flirting, or having a serious talk with another or just being alone sipping carelessly away.
Directing her attention to the painting that hung just above their table and cocked her head to the side. Nikolai. she thought to herself and simply smiled as she slowly slipped out of her jacket, exposing her furry purple sweater that was soft to the touch but very warm and comfy now. Folding her hands upon the table she slowly tapped upon the surface of the counter, chewing her bottom lip. Before she decided to skim through the menu, then play with the salt and pepper shakers to decrease her boredom. But it only made it worse, sighing she rested her elbow upon the table; propping her cheek into the palm of her open hand. "Edmund are you always this slow?" She spoke in a teasing manner under her breath as she sighed and dropped her hand to the table and softly sighed. Chewing the inside of her cheek she looked to the side after a moment and shook her head lightly, before returning her attention to the salt shakers.
