DON'T YOU DARE LOOK OUT YOUR WINDOW DARLING, EVERYTHING'S ON FIRE THE WAR OUTSIDE OUR DOOR KEEPS RAGING ON Liu was getting used to being paraded like an animal when she traveled for her work. It never failed. People running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to impress someone of higher caliper than themselves, simply to survive. That is why Liu was standing in front of a local piece of art work in the Las Vegas Art Museum with a glass of champagne between her slim fingers. A pleasant smile spread across the Werecat's lips as she handed off her empty class in place of another. She had already been in the museum for two hours, waiting as the owner moved through all the higher ups in the building, chit-chatting to each of them. Liu observed the faces of those who were being spoken to, and watched as different emotions crossed their eyes. Some were jealous of others, some envious, some amused. Some held such arrogance and seemed so conceited it made Liu sick. Her heels clicked softly on the floor as she moved onto the next painting. The weather in Las Vegas was much more pleasant than in New York City. The fashion designer had on a fitted pencil skirt that stopped a few inches above her knees, a beautiful sleeveless button-up satin red shirt, and a pair of black, open-toed four inch pumps that made her appear much taller than she really was. Liu was a very petite woman, standing at only five foot two and weighing around one hundred and ten pounds soaking wet. She wasn't skin and bone though. Most of her weight was wiry muscle that lined her entire frame. Her dark, waist length hair was tied up in a clean bun on the back of her head with two, dark red decorative chopsticks through the back to accent her ethnicity. As she rounded a corner to another part of the museum, the ancient Werecat stopped in her tracks. She could feel a powerful presence coming from very close by, but she didn't act like she knew. She simply let her eyes drift across the paintings, but she was on high alert at this point. Whomever else was in the museum that put off such a powerful aura for even Liu to really pay attention to, had to be something nearly as old as she was. Liu lifted the champagne to her lips, taking a casual sip, her heavily mascaraed eyes lifted over the crystal glass to observe the room. MADE BY ★MEULK OF THQ

Tonight was the night Naomi had been looking forward to for days. She knew it wasn't going to be anything extravagant but she was excited nonetheless and has been waiting for the day since her friend invited her along. So much so she actually had to calm herself down with a few glasses of wine before even arriving. She knew wine and champagne would be served there as well so she tried her best to limit herself. It wasn't very often Naomi was able to attend such events due to her current work schedule and the increasing numbers in the resistance kept her busy. When given the opportunity to attend something that wasn't work related she jumped to the chance. Her outfit had already been picked out days in advanced, though the decision changed a few times before she finally settled for a loose black dress with an Asian flare. She loved the way it moved when she walked and the large flowers reminded her of her rare trips to Asia. She was told the occasion was casual-formal when she learned it was an art gallery she couldn't resist showing up looking like a piece of artwork herself.
Naomi was an hour late but she knew her friend wouldn't mind. He would have been too busy kissing everyone's asses and she understood that. She was there for moral support and that was good enough reason for her to be there, even if she would most likely be the only person there who wouldn't understand the "meaning" behind each painting. Naomi wasn't worried about embarrassment though. After 5,000 years there wasn't anything Naomi hadn't already seen, or done herself, so there was no way she could feel uncomfortable at such an event. Not that her overzealous nature would give her any choice. Naomi stepped into the gallery to be greeted by the person giving out champagne. Naomi had already taken the liberty of hydrating herself with alcohol before arriving but she couldn't help herself and took a glass anyways. Her brown eyes surveyed the room in hopes of spotting her friend but when she did he was doing just what she thought he was. She was content with spending some time to herself however and began to make her way along the room, her eyes glancing over the paintings and her face showed signs of interest but it was only pretend. On her way towards the paintings a strange feeling started to consume her, making her nerves suddenly jumpy. She couldn't tell what it was or if it was good or bad but Naomi always trusted her gut and even if she couldn't immediately see what it was she knew it was there.
Having been born in a world filled with beauty Naomi had always loved bright colors. As she stopped at one particular painting her eyes darted across the painting as she took in all the rich colors used but all the while she still didn't understand what the painting was. To her it seemed like a jumble of colors and abstract lines but to the couple beside her it was "art". "I think it symbolizes freedom and not following the norm of society." One woman standing beside Naomi said. Whether it was to Naomi directly or not she didn't know but it grabbed the Werecat's attention. "Really? I just thought he got bored and didn't know what to paint so he came up with this." Naomi said, ending in a smile only to end up being the only one who found it funny. When the couple walked away Naomi just shrugged and went back to her champagne in the painting.

Finally, her eyes landed on a short haired woman, and Liu tilted her head slightly. Every cell in her body told her that was where that source of power was coming from. The Werecat was bold enough to make her way over, casually stepping on the opposite side of the couple, observing the painting. Once she was closer to the woman, Liu knew what she was. The scent of a Werecat was all over her, but the type was still a question; and also her age. The only other Werecat she knew that put off that strong of an aura was Dimitri, and he was an Original, but still a thousand years younger than herself. Liu was forever frozen at what appeared to be twenty-three years old. She wasn't really sure when she stopped aging; that was far too long ago to recall. Lifting the glass to her lips, she took a sip, lifting her chin to let her eyes roam the length of the painting.
Liu couldn't stop the amused giggle that left her lips at the other Werecat's words to the couple who was, seconds ago, mesmerized by the piece of art. Her attitude completely threw her, but she liked it. She, herself, tended to be rather serious and motherly. She loved the modern world, but she was far too shy to really take it in and adjust completely to the lingo and the new way people spoke and acted. She still held on strongly to her ancient morals and the way women were taught to act. That being said, she still had a backbone of steel, and didn't take lightly to being underestimated or spoken down to. It was rare anyone of the supernatural species did anything of the sort, but humans tended to; ignorant to what she was because they didn't have the ability to sense it. Liu always let them slide, simply correcting them and going on about her day. Liu's eyes were instantly drawn to the woman's dress, the colors and material standing out to her. "Your dress is beautiful, by the way." Liu told her, offering her a kind smile.
She was quiet for a moment, before setting her empty glass of champagne on the tray, taking another just to keep something in her hands. She lowered her voice to a more quiet tone, only so others didn't pick up on what she was about to say. "It has been a very long time since I've encountered another Werecat with such an aura. I'm curious." she said. "My name is Liu, by the way. Excuse my rudeness. I'm still a bit surprised." she added, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink. liu [attr="class","gContainer"]TAG | [attr="class","gContainer"]OUTFIT [attr="class","gbox"] click | [attr="class","gContainer"]NOTES [attr="class","gbox"]Meh.
