Giovanna Palladino Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. The shifter slinked threw the forest, each paw behind the other. The moist, malleable soil formed to each of her paws. The dirt shifted beneath them with each step she took. Taking in a deep breath the scents of the forest hit her palate, enjoying the various aromas that so often filled these woods; there was something about it that was comforting. Gia slowed her pace before coming to a complete stop. She yawned, and then licked her chops. She stretched, elongating her torso, flicking her tail back and forth; she extended her claws, feeling the dirt shift beneath them. It was refreshing, and long overdue. She had not day shifted in quite some time, and the last time she had she had the enjoyment of running around town as a squirrel. Surprisingly she managed not to be hit by a car, or eaten by a dog. She had spent that day jumping from tree to tree. It was an adrenaline rush she hadn’t felt in quite some time.
Although part of her felt as if she should have spent the day in the library, she knew that no harm would come if she skipped a day, the library would still be there tomorrow, and the next day and so on and so forth. The shifter puffed, her ear twitched as she heard a twig snap some distance away. It was of no concern to her. Giovanna looked up through the trees, eyeing the puffy white clouds and the bright blue sky. It was a glorious day. Winter would soon be over, and the excitement of spring would soon come. She panned her head around, honing her senses in, making sure she was in fact alone. The shifter turned to the tree next to her, and jumped, digging her sharp claws into the dense bark. She pulled herself up, and rested on the first branch. Her head panned around, tail twitching, she positioned herself to continue her ascent up the tree. Finally reaching her branch of choice, she moved vigilantly, making sure that she’d be out of sight and safe from falling. Once settled, she twitched her nose, and began to resituate herself accordingly. Giovanna reached above her and grabbed her bag hanging on the above branch. Opening it, she slid on her clothes and boots. She slung her bag on her shoulder, and stood up slowly. Gazing out amongst the vast forest, she took it all in, enjoying the view in the day as the sun shined brightly on the trees, penetrating to the forest floor. The shifter made her way to the ground, once there, she reached in her bag once more pulling out one of her favorite headbands, it was from her grandmother. She looked at it warmheartedly, smiling as the memories of Lina filled her head. She placed it on her scalp adjusting it and her hair as the soft curls fell perfectly on her back. Gia fixed her sweater and realized she was missing her jacket. She looked up and saw it folded tucked between two branches, “Great.” She said with a small chuckle. Shrugging she decided to leave it there, she knew she’d be back probably tonight. Giovanna proceeded to make her way through the forest, staying as far away from the trails as possible. She reached into her bag, once again, briefly checking her phone. “It’s only 2 o’clock,” She said aloud. She decided to hold off on lunch for now; her main priority was getting back to town
As she reached the outskirts of town, Gia choose to take a short cut through the cemetery. Normally she would avoid it, but she couldn’t help but feel like something was pulling her there. As she wandered through, she clasped her locket tight, wondering where her dear friend was at this very moment. She passed the various tombstones that contained the names of people she would never know. Gia read each one, almost as if she was meeting them. The mystery of their lives intrigued her. She stopped suddenly, looking down at a particular stone; she cocked her head slightly, squinting her hazel eyes in attempt to get a better look. Giovanna slowly moved closer, not wanting to stand directly on top of the grave, she squatted next to the tombstone. It was blank, no name, no date, nothing. She found it odd. The shifter placed her bag on the ground and sat on the cool grass beside it. She gently ran her hands across the headstone, “Who are you?” She asked, feeling a sense of sadness rush over her. words: 766 • OOC: Excited! • outfit:HERE

THIS CHANGE, HE WON'T CONTAIN tag;; gia words;; 549 notes;; meh, sorry if its crappy. Isaac hardly ever roamed into down, only when he needed to get essentials for at the Pack House, and when he was doing a routine check to see how things were going. Harper Valley was well-known for it's supernatural activity. He was one of those. Being a Werewolf, and also being the Alpha of the Caine Pack had put a lot of stress onto the twenty-six year old's shoulders. He was very young to be an Alpha, his father dealt the card of Death, brought to him in the form of a Vampire. A long time ago the town had banished the Caine Pack, but allowed them to live in harmony by making a pact. Keep the town safe from harm by Supernaturals, and they would be left alone to live in peace. Isaac's father had done a damn good job at keeping that promise, and he wouldn't allow that to change. No matter the circumstance. He would put his life on the line to keep the town protected. He was a powerful man, though. He was extremely strong, and had heart. Isaac had great leadership skills and never backed down from a challenge, in which he had many. That's why there was a scar down the side of his face.
With a soft yawn, Isaac stuffed his hands into his coat, one that wasn't too extremely heavy. He had a high temperature, therefore Winter never felt cold to him. He just did it for appearance sake. Isaac stopped at the entrance to the cemetery, his brows furrowing. He hadn't been here in a long time. He really didn't like coming, because it was just a bigger blow that his dad was gone. Pushing the gate open, he stepped inside, closing it behind him. He moved slowly between the headstones, his dark eyes focused on one at the very end of the cemetery. Isaac stopped in front of it, brows furrowing as a pained expression took over his face. "Shoulda waited for me, Pops..." he murmured. The night his dad was murdered, Isaac was on his way to meet him. His father had just left a bit earlier than Isaac had. He met his fate alone, and that's what burnt him up the most. Just as he was about to speak again, he heard movement across the cemetery. His brows furrowed. Who the hell else was out here?
Turning, he crept silently towards the other side and saw a dark-haired woman knelt in front of a head stone that had no writing on in. He heard her question who they were. Wondering who she was, he decided to induce contact. Hands in his pockets, he walked towards her while saying, "No one knows. That grave has been there a lot longer than most people have been alive." he told her, shrugging his shoulders lightly. "All the teenagers used to meet up around the grave and hang out because it wasn't as "creepy" as the others. They called her Linda Mae for some reason." he added with a soft laugh. He lowered his dark eyes to look at her. She was a pretty thing. Slender with big doe eyes and soft brown hair. Isaac never let appearances fool him though. "I'm Isaac." he said, offering a greeting smile towards her.

Giovanna Palladino Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. The shifter could not help but feel a strange connection with this grave. The curiosity of knowing whom it was hate gotten to her. She wanted to know, she needed to know. The mystery of it all was enthralling. She wanted to know everything about this person; who it was, how old they were, did they have family or were they alone, just as Gia was. In that moment, she could not help but think of her dear friend. Clasping her locket, she felt herself drifting back to that moment; the screams, the adrenaline, the pain. Giovanna had not thought of that tragic day in quite some time, and for a good reason. She immediately took the thought out of her head, not wanting to get pull back into the destructive vortex she had worked so hard to escape.
Gia’s hand remained on the stone, feeling each of the grooves. It looked like there was nothing ever written to begin with. Such a shame. Someone must have cared enough to take the time to bury them and place a stone. She felt her mind beginning to wander back. It was a beautiful sunny day, a perfect beach day, just what Lila loved. There were hundreds of people at the cemetery showing their respect, each sharing their own stories and memories of the crazy girl that she was, Lila had always been well liked and knew a lot of people. Gia removed her hand from the headstone, placing it gently in her lap, Who was here for you to share your stories? She closed her eyes, thinking back to Lila’s funeral. Giovanna did not want to show her face. How could she? She went, of course, but no one knew she was there. She could not face Mr. and Mrs. Hickson, she just couldn’t. The shifter was brought back, as her ears perked up in response to a distant sound. Not really concerned with it she remained as she was, proud of herself for noticing the noise in the first place. You’re back! Almost! Giovanna’s conversations within her mind always made her question her sanity. Nevertheless, she was finally getting back to some sort of normalcy.
Her large round hazel eyes lingered on the blank slab, her ears honing in on the source of the noise. It became apparent as soon as she heard a person speak, more specifically, speaking to her. Giovanna turned her head, eyes locking instantaneously on the man who was now beside her. As she listened to him provide some answers to her question, she began her observation, making mental notes, something she did with everyone she came in contact with. A quick head to toe once over, then slowly worked her way back up, ending on his face. The most important part of a person, there is where all the secrets are held. She studied the stranger, watched his lips move as he spoke, learning the forms and contours of his face. Gia was always cautious and subtle, staying aware of how she went about it, never giving herself away, never making it obvious, and never just blatantly stared. It was something she has mastered. The most telling feature of the stranger was a scar on the side of his face, something that most likely told a story, and although it was apparent, it did not detract from his overall appeal. When she heard what people had called the person in the unknown grave she furrowed her brows, and looked back at the vacant tombstone, running her fingers over it once more. She cocked her head slightly, "Linda Mae, interesting." Gia said softly. Still inw awe, she listened to the man introduce himself. She focused back on Isaac and gave a warm smile, "Nice to meet you, I’m Giovanna." She said kindly. She must have seen completely insane to him, just sitting in front of an unmarked grave in the middle of the day. Typical Gia.

THEY'VE SPIKED THE WATER. its in the blood. Isaac wasn't really surprised that someone was sitting in front of the grave. Hell, they used to do it all the time as teenagers. Cops didn't really expect kids to hang out here, so they never came snooping. They never hurt anything, either. Just smoked cigarettes, sometimes drank, and talked. Even though they had been young, they still respected the graves. It was just how they were raised. A chuckle rose in his chest and bubbled through his lips. "Yeah, that's what everyone else said, too." he replied to her statement about the name being interesting. "Our parents thought we were crazy. Hell, we were." he told her, shrugging nonchalantly. He let a friendly smile lift his lips, still trying not to freak her out about how he just appeared in the graveyard. He really wasn't about to tell her why he was there, because he didn't want the sympathy. He got that enough from everyone else. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Giovanna." he said, nodding his head subtly in greeting.
She obviously wasn't human; he could sense that. His nose wasn't accustomed to picking out different species quite yet, but he was getting there. He wondered if she could tell that he wasn't human, either. He would wait to let that come about on it's own. Unless he sensed a threat, he wasn't one to blatantly ask what someone was. That was rude, in his mind. So, he went the other route. He knew just about every supernatural in Harper Valley that had been living there since he could remember. New ones kept popping up everyday and it was stressing him out to keep up with all of them, but it was his job. "Are you new to Harper Valley?" he asked, squatting down so he wasn't towering over her. Isaac wasn't surprised that she was staring. He was used to that, especially when people noticed the monstrous scar on his cheek. A lot of times, people would look at that while they spoke to him instead of looking him in the eye. Only his close friends and family had gotten so used to it they didn't really think about it anymore. Isaac hardly noticed it, himself. It was a part of him now, and there was nothing he could do to change it, and he wouldn't. Even if he could. isaac CAINE [attr="class","gContainer"]TAG | [attr="class","gContainer"]OUTFIT [attr="class","gbox"] click | [attr="class","gContainer"]NOTES [attr="class","gbox"]Sorry for the wait! |

Giovanna Palladino Knowing who you are is confidence. Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. The shifter eyes remained on Isaac, but her mind was still occupied by the mystery grave. She could not help herself, and this was going to be the bane of her existence. Curiosity would always get the best of her. Her attention began to shift as he spoke. She gave a soft smile, “It’s a shame we will never know.” There was no way that the identity of this person would ever been known, and even if there was, Gia was not crazy enough to go about finding it out. She would have to let go, and accept it, but had found some comfort with the name, even if it was made up. Besides, there were plenty of other graves, with actual names and dates that all had their own story. It was odd that she had found comfort in being here, but did not entertain the thought much.
Giovanna gave a slight nod, “You too.” She said softly. Her eyes remained locked on Isaac’s, there was a story behind them, she could sense that, but everyone had a story. As always, she had often enjoyed meeting new people, and given her newfound interest she had been spending much of her time to herself. Mainly her time was spent in the library, and when a break was needed, she had her routine in the forest. Her round hazel eyes followed Isaac as he lowered himself next to her. Her mouth twisted slightly as she was doing the math in her head, “Relatively.” She said, and then proceeded to relax her mouth, shifting it back into a soft smile. “It’ll be a year in a couple of months I believe.” Gia said slightly astonished. The statement was frightening for two reasons; one, the fact that she had managed to stay here for this obscene amount of time, and two, the fact that it did not seem like it had been that long. Where did the time go? The shifter thought back to all her time here in Harper Valley. It was fascinating; her first day here seemed like just yesterday. All this time, and yet she still felt relatively new, not really knowing many people her. Not that it bothered her much, she had made a vow to herself that she would not rush and take her time acclimating to this new place since she was not planning on leaving. No more change, for now.
