It was that time of the year again when Jackson felt the most pain in his life. it was the anniversary of his fathers death and in two months his mothers death. Jackson never found out how his father was killed but he knew it was connected with his job as the ArchMagi of New York at the time. Jackson walked into the cemetery with a casual look, black t-shirt with dark jeans on, but he was wearing his black leather jacket with him. Jackson could feel the cold air get colder as he moved further into the cemetery. The smell of death was in the air as he could feel his spine tremble with chills. Jackson never enjoyed walking into the cemetery because how much death had collected over time.
Jackson passed the section of the cemetery that was assigned to the victims of the war and kept walking. He knew he had family within that section, his ancestors of both sides of the family but he just kept walking passed. Finally after ten minutes of walking through the morbid area of the fallen he approached a tomb stone. John Silver, loving Husband and Father. It has been about 9 years since he had passed and wished he never would have gotten into that fight with him the night before.
Jackson looked around and noticed no one was around and took his hand and placed it on the tomb stone. "I'm sorry dad." Jackson spoke as he felt the words take his breath away from him with sadness. He slide his hand down the tomb stone and began to focus on his hand. The magic was rushing through his veins and a small dagger appeared in a few seconds. Jackson took the small dagger and placed it on the ground next to his father's grave.
A small breeze brushed passed Jackson as the wind gave a small howl in the night. It was time to leave this foul place, the dead needed to rest. Jackson stood up and turned around to walk the trail back toward the entrance, but something stopped him from walking. He heard a noise but couldn't tell what the noise was. What could be out here at this time of night Jackson began to think to himself. The ArchMagi really didn't want to deal with business at this time of night, especially on his fathers grave site.

Confidence, not cockiness. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat. Gia had finally managed to settle in her new apartment, all the boxes were officially gone, and it almost felt like home. All of the weeks she had put off unpacking were finally over. This was it. This was her new home. She knew it would take some time and getting use to before she felt completely comfortable in this new town. Normally she would have been gone already, she had never stayed more than a week or two in one place, this was a new record. She had not met many people yet, and although her last shift left her with a precarious night, Gia was itching to do it again. The one thing she loved and hated about being a shifter was the need for it, its addicting quality, giving a feeling that could not be explained. She needed another fix, and soon.
It was later in the day, and she knew it was the perfect time for it. Leaving her shoes behind, she made her way toward the forest, and as soon as she reached the outskirts of town, she was off, enjoying the vast land before her.
The shifter had lost track of time, hours had easily flew by, and it was now dark, although it had not made a difference to her at all. She knew she should probably head back home, but was resistant to the thought. There was nothing at home, just an empty apartment. The idea of sitting alone was disheartening, although no matter where she was now she was, alone. It had been months, and still she was not used to being by herself. How do people live like this?
Gia made her way back to the edge of the forest, looking around, seeing no one she proceeded still in form to meander on the outskirts of town, there was no rush to be anywhere, besides, she was always up for exploring new places. The shifter came across a cemetery, realizing she was probably closer to town now then she should be; she immediately adjusted back to her human self. Her head violently panned around, knowing that it was probably too late for anyone to be out and about. Gia looked down at her feet, completely free, “I forgot shoes, great.” She wiggled her toes, as a playful smile made its way on her face. She flattened out her dress, and proceeded into the cemetery.
The brisk night air played with her hair, as she felt the cool ground beneath her feet. Gia looked up at the tree beside her, and tugged on one of its branches until it snapped off. Stick in hand she made her way through, passing various tombstones with names she would never know. She had never been in or even near the cemetery before, it was a bit eerie, all of the history and stories that had lived were right here, underneath her. Then it hit her, she froze instantaneously starring blanking at the grass below her. Gia grasped her locket tight, her body now filled with the overwhelming memories of Lila. A shiver coursed its way throughout her body, as she wondered where her dearest friend lies now, so far away.

The noise Jackson heard sounded like a branch from a tree or push broke and snapped. Jackson never let his guard down even for a second because the one second he does it would be his last breath and get killed just like his father. Jackson never knew how or why his father got killed, he was too busy raising his sister to ask any type or question his father's death. His mother didn't help because she was gone every night trying to find answers and found herself more depressed then usually and eventually died a month or two after his fathers death.
Jackson stood still and examied the surroundings around him. All he could see was the bushes and trees moving with the soft breeze. The moonlight shinning down on the ground creating a bit of light that would shine on tomb stones or light the way of a trail near by. Everything seemed too quit in this cementary and Jackson just wanted to get head to his aunts house nearby to make sure his sister was doing okay.
Jackson moved quickly in his steps but moved with silence as he made his way to a tree nearby and hide behind it too see who was nearby. Jackson just had this urge in his stomach that there was someone near by, good or bad he wasn't going to get caught in a mess right now, he had a long day at work and didn't want to clean up another mess.
As Jackson took a glance back toward the cementary he notice a girl who had grabbed onto a locket of hers. Jackson felt a little relieved it was just a girl, or better yet a really beautfiul looking girl. Grinning with a smile he walked away from the tree to meet this beautiful looking girl. "It's a bit late to be out in his cementary don't you think? Too many grave robbers, and creeps out at this hour." Jackson spoke toward the girl. "I promise I'm not one of those." Jackson spoke with a smile hoping the girl would smile or laugh. Jackson seemed to have a way with women, maybe it was his looks or maybe it was the charm he has. Either way Jackson will always try to strike a conversation with a beautiful women.
