HISTORY:
Cait was born the elder twin to her sister Noëlle. Born to a magi mother and a vampire father, their mother died soon after giving birth to the two girls, leaving their father, Avery, to raise the two hybrids on his own, as well as an elder sister, Lucretia. They were born in Paris, France, and by god, they were raised there. Avery was a rich businessman who really liked to spoil his two little girls whenever he had the chance.
Cait was much different than her younger sister. She was wild and playful, and always very happy. She liked to toy with and play pranks on the servants who ran their household and often escaped their vampire nanny to go play outside rather than do her school work. Cait was also different in the fact that she ad acquired a power from her mother's magi bloodline. The power to see the past when she touched an object or heard a distinctive sound. If a gun went off, she could tell you where if came from and who shot it.
As she was still rather young when she obtained this power, she often had no control over when she used it. If she touched something out of the ordinary, she was often thrown into a trance-like state until the images of the past disappeared from her mind. This also caused her much pain and suffering. For the first few years of having the power, she was plagued by random blackouts and terrors that made her paranoid about going anywhere or doing anything. It wasn't until she was 7 that she started to learn to control her power. She practiced often, slowly reducing the amount of terrors or blackouts she sustained over the years.
The girls grew rather fast due to their vampire blood. Though they were spoiled, they never acted like it. They were humble and polite, and by the time they were fully grown, they were catching the eye of all the little French boys in Paris. Being the times that they were, it wasn't long until the boys were lining up to beg their father for one of the girls' hands. He refused every single one, however, letting his daughters make that decision for themselves rather than forcing them into something that they would hate him for. Plus, he didn't want them to have to harbor the burden of hiding what they were to their human suitors.
When it became too obvious that the girls were not going to age any longer, Avery decided to move them to Montreal, Canada. They lived there for many years before moving to Traverse City, Michigan to be with their mother's Magi family. They lived on one of the peninsulas, helping out in the farm fields, picking cherries and fresh grapes that they turned into jam, wine, and all sorts of other delicious foods. They also spent much time swimming in the bay, enjoying the cool lake water whenever the weather got too hot.
When her uncle died of a fever, with their cousin Trystan right behind him, her cousin Sébastian begged Avery to turn him into a vampire. He didn't want to die like his brother and his father. Avery obliged, bringing the boy into an immortal life.
Before long, Noëlle and Lucretia decided that it was their time to move on and live their own lives, rather than following their father around. They were old enough to make the choice, and Cait soon followed in her sisters' footsteps, moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. She obtained work as a private detective, working cases here and there for the Las Vegas Police Department. She saved all of the money that she made from working cases for the Police Department, and opened her own night club. She doesn't work as many cases as she used to because her club keeps her busy, but she does tend to work some rather large and important cases.
