We L-I-K-E C-A-R-S, the cars that go boom. Isabelle had been arguing all day with Davina about a party that the younger Dahveed wanted to go to. Isa wasn't having it. She didn't know the person throwing the party, and wasn't keen on letting her little sister run off to it without knowing if she were in danger or not. Isa had trust issues but she just wanted to keep her remaining family in tact and unharmed. Davina wanted to have fun. So the younger girl took off.
Furious, Isa decided to blow off some steam the only way she knew how. She took her bike out for a spin. Eventually, she found the party where her sister had disappeared to and managed to corner one of the guests. She was surprised she actually knew the girl. It was the sister of one of Isa's old ex-boyfriends. She was good friends with Davina and quickly agreed to keep Isa's younger sister out of trouble. This calmed Isa, and so she decided to check out what sort of races were starting up that night.
She arrived just in time to see the winner of the first race get out of his car. It wasn't hard to see who he was. Julian Valenti was known for his flash. Plus, it had been his sister who she had run into at that party Davina had gone to. Isa smirked as he noticed her and walked over to her. She kicked the stand and shut off her bike as he stopped in front of her, looking smug as ever.
"I just got a text from sister," he said. "Were you going to tell me you're bossing her around."
Isa took off her helmet and eyed him innocently for a moment before she decided to ignore him. Their relationship was the rare one that ended on good terms. They had grown up friends, well Julian had actually been her brother's friend first. When Alt was killed, they grew closer and eventually tried to date. In the end, they found that they preferred being friends and it had stayed that way ever since.
"No point in opening my mouth when your sister's is so much bigger and apparently faster," she quipped cheekily before tossing him her helmet and jacket so he could throw them in his car.
She got off her back as he went to put her things up so no one would touch it and pocketed her keys as she looked around. Most of the rides she recognized easily. There were a few new ones here and there. Most of them were just new cars from old races who had bad losses. They either had lost their pink slips or totalled their cars to no repair. That was two things she would never do. First, she loved her cars too much to bet them off. Second, she loved her cars too much to drive stupid. Phoenix Starvos | 302 words | Outfit | Notes.

It was just another night for Nix in New York. He decided since had no jobs this night he should check out the street life. And see how things went around here. Was it any different from Greece. So he left his two room apartment that had one living area and a bathroom. The living conditions were poorly but the rent was not at all that bad. Two hundred bucks a month. But tonight was gonna be fun and exciting. He had only been living in the US for a few months. And to night was no full moon. So he was safe with that. He got his jacket and helmet and walked down to the car parking lot located under his building. And he got on his bike started it up after he strapped his helmet on and spun around out of his parking spot and sped out of the parking lot area. He made his out of the heavy traffic and drove out as he looked around the island he was happy. For the first time he was actually happy! And enjoying his new found life. As he drove around Staten Island he noticed a large crowd and decided to see what the hustle and bustle was all about.
As he found a small opening through a crowd of humans he saw to awesome street cars pulling in from looked like they had been racing! This was right up his ally of fun! He was beaming with excitement as his eyes sparkled with excitement! Too bad it wasn't a motorcycle race. He could really get in on the action. He saw the people just throwing their money away from the bets they made. Nix knew all about this. He used to race in Greece. But he had to sell his car to move here. He wasn't going to make his best friend fund for the entire trip. And then he had to pay his friend back. This could be easy money! And he loved racing. Ideas were popping up into his head as he saw the commotion going around. And he saw the bundle of cash the winner got. That really sparked Nix's interest! He really wanted to get in on this. And it wouldn't be just another boring job. It would be something he would be passionate about. He wasn't leaving though. He had to be here to observe the scene. It wasn't much different from Greece...
As the second race started he wasn't gonna miss this one for a minute! He had to keep up with the crowd. As he started to get a better few he saw a girl far off. She was beautiful. He smiled at her. As he gave her a bright hello and a wave. He walked over to her. She was just his type. He could really tell about people by the way they dressed. And she was perfect! "Hi. Race is really awesome to night huh?" He asked her as he tried to make a light conversation with her. He wanted to make friends. So this was a good place to start. He just wasn't one of those sticks in the grass that said nothing to no one. He said hello to everyone he knew closely to. Even on his jobs. He said a nice hello. He was really a very nice guy. But never push his buttons for you may regret it. Since he was a werewolf. He screamed with excitement as the cars came back around again on the road. They were so close you could get blown over by them! This was awesome! He felt like a kid again!

We L-I-K-E C-A-R-S, the cars that go boom. Isa looked up at the newcomer with mild interest as he approached her. She raised an eyebrow as he spoke. It wasn't for any rude sort of reason. It was simply due to the fact she wasn't used to strangers addressing her and she was generally a paranoid woman. So with that being said, she wasn't quite sure how to respond to him at first. After a long while, she decided he was no threat. He certainly wasn't working for her crazy Israeli father.
"It's slower than usually but pretty bumpin',"she allowed calmly. "Then again, I'm not racing today so they're missing out."
When she raced, she tended to do so with a little extra flare. That and she almost always won. It would piss off her opponents, sure, but she could care less. It meant money for her and her sister to spend. That much was certain, and she wouldn't trade it for the world. On that note, she almost wished she had decided on riding one of her two cars instead of her bike. Absentmindedly running her fingers against the glossy finish, she wondered briefly about continuing conversation.
"Are you new here?" she finally asked.
She never seen him around before, certainly not at any of the races. So it wasn't a stretch for her to point such an assumption out. She knew almost everyone. If not them, then she at the very least knew their ride. She knew neither with this guy. Phoenix Starvos | ### | Outfit | Notes.

"It's slower than usually but pretty bumpin'," "Then again, I'm not racing today so they're missing out." "Are you new here?" He looked up at her then and nodded "Yea. I am. My name's Phoenix. Or Nix for short. I've seen you around the island. Maybe you can show me around New York some time. I've never really been here in the past. I'm from Greece, Athens. I just moved here. And I honestly love it here a lot better..." He said as he looked at her and smiled. He was certainly no stranger to speaking up and introducing himself. He figured he had no one here that really knew him so he could be himself and lighten up. The last life he was nothing but fun. And here he could be any one he wanted to be. And non one could see the real him. He had a fresh start. And he liked that. He kept up to date with his friend over in Athens. But other than that he did not talk to any one over there. Not even his father. Who called him a looser. And he was not going to stand for the verbal abuse any more. He knew mother would want him to be happy. Unlike his father...
He looked back at Isabelle as he did he saw that she had the passion about this as he did. And that made him more comfortable to be around. He was not sure she would have like the fact that he had just walked up and started speaking to her. But he was higher than life it self at the moment and he wanted all he could get out of it. Even find that perfect mate to make things more exciting. But he was hoping just to find some one when she came along. He wasn't really looking for any one at the moment. All he wanted really was a friend. And maybe that was what Isabelle could be for him. But he did not know her name. He knew he would get it out of her sooner or later..."Too bad we can't just make our own race and have some fun..." He said shrugging his shoulders. He was just making conversation..Not sure she would really go for it...He just waited for her reaction. And that was enough to make him look up at the cars that came flying by again...They were really going fast! He wanted in on that action. He thrived for excitement! He was no ordinary person that was certain. Well then again he was not even human.

She raised an eyebrow at that. New York was quite a long way from home if he was being truthful. She should know, having grown up for a fair bit of her childhood in Israel. Anyone from the other side of the world normally made her suspicious, but there was just something about him that intrigued her.
"Karma," she said, going by her street name out of habit. "So from Greece to New York City. Why'd you pick here of all places?"
Eli had a habit of sending people out to find and retrieve her and her sister. Whether to kill them or to simply bring them back to Israel, Isa wasn't quite certain. Still, she refused to give them the change to make her find out. So, she was quite a bit paranoid and untrusting of any new faces.
"Too bad we can't just make our own race and have some fun..."
She smiled and glanced at Elektra. He had a point, but she wasn't there to race. If she had been she would have brought one of her cars, not her Ninja.
"I don't race my bike," she said. "It's not for money. It's for the freedom. When I race, I do it for the money." Phoenix Starvos | 302 words | Outfit | Notes.

Nix looked at her and thought about her question. Why lie to a stranger? Besides he felt like he could trust her for some reason. "Um, my father and I don't exactly see eye to eye. And I left Greece to live on my own. Live my own life. And I have and it's great! I love being on my own. No one to tell him what to do or who I should be. As for moving here, I thought that maybe New York had more job opportunities and it does." He said as he told her about himself. He knew she would not judge him for any thing. He just knew there was some thing about her he liked. Well, aside from being a hotttie. She was nice and open minded. He could just tell he was going to get along with her. And he needed a friend here. His buddy back in Greece was all he had. And understood where Nix was coming from. "Where are you originally from? If you don't mind me asking...?" He asked her calmly as he looked back up at her. Damn she was beautiful. He couldn't help himself. He always figured there was some one out there for every one. But not him. He was a mistake. By what his father used to tell him...
He couldn't get past that part. He couldn't get past that his father hated him. It was the whole reason he moved here in the first place. And plus that he killed too many people back in Greece. At least here he could try and put his past behind him. At least that was what he was trying to do. It was a lot harder than he thought. He had multiple jobs to keep his mind occupied. And well he needed the money. He was literally on his on here. He had not called his father since he arrived. Though he had a feeling that his father knew what he had done by now. And Nix could really care less what his father thought or said about him now. He was living the life he had always wanted and he was happy. Nothing could ruin his new life. And it was going to stay that way. "I don't race my bike," "It's not for money. It's for the freedom. When I race, I do it for the money." He smirked at her answer from what he said earlier. "Cool. Cool. I don't have a car. Sadly the bike is all I have. Hey would like to take a ride on it?" He asked as he looked at her again trying not to stare. She was just beautiful. He couldn't help himself.

Isabelle turned her gaze to the bike and walked over to it. She ran her fingers over the sleek black paint job. It was definitely a beauty. Who was she to deny such an enticing offer? She loved her Kawasaki Ninja, but a Versys wasn't that bad either. She looked at him and nodded her head in acceptance.
"Sure," she said. "Let me just get my helmet and jacket."
She hurried over to Julian and quickly explained everything to him. He gave her her things, and agreed to make sure no one went near Elektra. That was good. Anything that happened to her bike would be on his head, and he knew it. Grinning at the mere thought, she slipped her jacket on and zipped it up before returning to Phoenix and his bike.
"Driver first," she announced still smiling.
She put on her helmet and then waited for him to get on so that she could follow suit behind him.

He smiled and went to get on his bike as he grabbed his own helmet and it put on. As he did that he started up the bike and waited patiently for her turn to get on. He gave her a smile as he looked behind him and over at her. He then revved it up as he still hoped she wouldn't change her mind about the free ride. The bike itself was a beauty. It was value for Nix. He even kept it in his loft in. He just didn't feel comfortable keeping the bike in the parking lot. "You coming or what?" He asked as he looked over at her.
He liked Karma. But he hoped she liked him to. He needed more friends here right now. He could tell there was something about her he liked. He just couldn't explain the feeling. It was very different from his first love. He couldn't think about any thing else the and there was no one else he would rather be with. And that seemed minds crazy. cause he just met her. He neve thought in a million years there could be someone at made him feel like this. What was he thinking?
This was crazy wasn't it? He couldn't afford to fall for anyone. Simply because what he was.He was a werewolf. And he couldn't hurt anyone else. This was a very, very bad situation. He simply shook the thoughts out of his head...

We like the cars that go boom. "You coming or what?"
Isa smirked behind her helmet and slid onto the bike behind Nix smoothly. She held onto him from behind and waited for him to take off for the streets. Honestly, she couldn't wait. It had been a while since she rode with anyone else, particularly when she wasn't the driver. Of course it was the very first time she rode on the back of a stranger's bike. She was usually much more cautious, especially around foreign strangers. She had never had much good luck in that field.
Still, there was just something about the Greek man in front of her that seemed to pull her in. Her gut wasn't giving off any warning bells, though, and the intuitive senses were never wrong. Plus, she was armed. Just in case anything deceived her defenses. He was charming and sweet for the moment however. She saw no reason to doubt him quite yet. She only hoped that she wasn't wrong for the first time in her life. That would seriously ruin her day and then some.

He felt her get on the back of his bike. And grab a hold of his waist sides for a good grip. He then revved up his bike and off they went. The opposite of the busy roaring crowd of fans cheering the drag racers on. Nix took her on a nice and safe ride through the streets of Staten. He knew what he was doing. He was an amateur bike rider. He used to race this baby back in Greece. Of course again against his own fathers orders. Nix did a lot of things his father didn't approve of. But that never stopped Nix in to doing what he wanted to do. He got his adventurous side from his mother. Where as his father was the up type business man. That thought the only way to earn money was to wear a suit and tie to work every day. Thank the gods Nix was the exact opposite of his father. And this pretty much proved that Nix was a free spirit. when he drove his bike he felt free. Like nothing could ever go wrong while he was on his baby. Okay maybe he got a little bit carried away with his bike. But it was something his father didn't buy for him. It was his most prized possession.
After a few nice rides around the island, Nix stopped in front of an old beat up building. This was his home. The building itself had been placed on the corner of a street. And Nix parked his bike. And got off it. Hoping that Karma would trust me enough to inside. Because this area wasn't exactly a safe place. He took off his helmet. And took out his bike keys. "This is where I live. Come on in..." He said as he wheeled his bike along side with him to also take it in the building with him. He hoped she would follow. "It's alright. You can trust me." He told her with a very no d and soft expression. He knew he could trust her already. Not many got the privilege of seeing inside his own home. Also just thought that maybe there was a good chance he just made a new friend. But she seemed to be more than that. He was already protective of her for some reason. Even though he had already figured out that she could take care of herself. He was happy. That much was very clear. Maybe this could be something more than just a friendship. Something was just telling him it was...

We like the cars that go boom. As he drove off, Isa got more and more comfortable with him. She especially loved the ride. She also couldn't deny that he felt good. It was so strange. She was never this comfortable with anyone, particulary strangers. Still, she grew a little uncertain when he stopped at an apartment building of all things.
"This is where I live. Come on in..."
She stiffened slightly and hesitated. Not many people invited her into their home, especially when they first met. She didn't get a warning vibe from him though. Whenever he did something that was questionable, she didn't hear any warning bells going off in her head. It was so weird, because she always had misgivings and suspicions about strangers. She never trusted anyone at face value.
"It's alright. You can trust me."
She looked at him silently has he said that. It wasn't the first time she heard that promise before. Was it going to carry the same weight as all the other ones? Was he going to be that one in the million that actually meant what he said? As she looked at him and considered the possibility of him being truthful, she found herself following before her mind even made a decision about whether or not she really could trust him.
That's because you already know you can trust him. He's different. Besides, you can just shift and take off if anything sketchy occurs. Until then, follow him inside so you can keep staring at that gorgeous butt of his. Yeah, but you don't even know him. How the hell did that work? He's not like anyone else you've met, and you know it. Quit being a scaredy cat and move!
Isa rolled her eyes at her mental argument with herself and started following him inside. One would question her sanity if they heard the monologues that went through her head. Heck, she thought she was insane some days. Still, both views were pretty accurate.
"So do you always invite strangers into your apartment?" she asked.

"So do you always invite strangers into your apartment?"
"Not all the time. But I feel comfortable enough around you to do so. Doesn't that sound crazy?" He said as he laid his jacket on his neat couch. Despite the motor in his living room. He kept a neat house. And he did feel comfortable around her. He couldn't put his finger on it. But then when he thought what he just said, she might think he was a goof ball. It's been a while since he had a nice woman around him. The last one, kinda died in his arms by his own hands. It was an accident. He didn't mean to it. But when he transformed back to human he realized what he did. And he was all full of complete shock from killing her. He had to think about that didn't he? None the less he grabbed some soda from the fridge and prepared two glasses with ice and handed her one..."Mountain Dew..." He said calmly as he handed her the glass. He hoped she thought his building was cool. As he walked back over to her. He was feeling awkward by now. He wasn't sure how to spark a conversation. He could do it with his best friend easily. But this was without a doubt a beautiful woman.
He was sweating in his shoes by now. She liked him. He could tell. And he liked her. Very much. He wanted to be with her. But he hadn't had a date or be with a woman since well since his last girl. And that scared him. He was nervous. He was so nervous his hands were sweating. He was a klutz. Why did he have to bring her here? Of all places. She probably thought it was cold and too much space. But Nix needed the space for his special problem. Yeah he was a werewolf. That's one reason he avoided love. He couldn't afford another death. He didn't know if his heart could handle another life taken by him. He just felt at ease once he looked in her eyes. She seemed to calm his emotions. Even his body stopped trembling. Yeah he felt calm and collected and cool around her. Which he did find odd. But not even his last girlfriend made him this content...He also loved the scent she gave off. She had it all. She was just like him. Looking for adventure. He liked that in a woman. And she looked tough. Tough enough to hold her own. He was so glad he met her. He just only hoped she was feeling the same way. And if she didn't that would hurt him. It's been a while since he let anyone in his life...
