The night itself was still and warm, the heat of the Nevada summer uncontested as a breeze was no where to be found. A form seemed to be seated on one of the nearby benches within the vast reaches of Sunset park. It seemed to be facing the large pond, watching the moon shimmer off of the semi-still waters. The local fowl of the pond seemed to be happily tucked away elsewhere, and the majority of the park seemed to be empty except for the stray bum sprawled out here and there under benches or trees. The form stayed where it was, almost imperceptible against the night sky, the moon itself giving the only vague outline of the creature that was seated there. The creature seemed to be awaiting something, though at the same time, with it being so late, there should have been no one around to greet the being.

It was another night of pleasure of Liv as she had recently decided to take a very short break from her club. For the last few weeks she's been spending most of her time there, being forced to sleep there most nights after working too late to return home before the sun rose. To her discontent she left the club in the hands of one of her most loyal employees. She would have been dumb to have given it to her brother. Before the night was over Liv ultimately decided to take a walk through the park to get some fresh air, not that she physically needed it but the quietness of the park at this time of night was another reason as well. Slowly she made her way down the windy sidewalk through out the park, starting at the north end and working her way down towards the other side. About half way through she felt the urge from a quick smoke and pulled out her pack of cigarettes with her favorite lighter, a red zippo. She brought the cigarette to her lips and after attempted to light it with the zippo but with every flick of her thumb sparks replaced the desired flame. Sighing when she realized she must have been out of lighter fluid she looked around to see if by any chance anyone was near by. Liv would have even settled for one of the hobo's she had been passing throughout her entire walk through the park, knowing most of them had lighters for their habits, but she saw none in sight. Odd considering she just saw a group a ways back. She continued her way in the same direction and when she caught a glimpse of a blackened figure sitting on a bench she didn't hesitate to approach with her request and quickly made her way over to them with the clicking of her heels giving her away to the stranger. She was a vampire, what could they possible do to her?
"Excuse me but do you have a light?" she asked with a faint smile. It wasn't like Liv to be nice to strangers but she wanted her cigarette lit.

The person seated on the bench lifted a pale hand and pulled back the hood of the cloak they were wearing to reveal a creamy pale woman with vibrant crimson lips and deep ocean blue eyes staring for a moment up at the woman who had spoken. The female arched a slender black eyebrow and reached up, pushing stray strands of ankle length onyx hair away from her face, clearing thinking about the question. "I believe I might... Let me check."The woman responded softly, rising in order to search the pockets of her black skinny jeans. A frown fell upon her face for a moment until her fingers met with what she had searched for. Without hesitation, she held out the silver square that was her personal zippo. Embedded into it, was the image of a large black bird, seated in the most stately of manners atop a bust of what could have only been discerned, by looking closely at it, as Pallas.

"I believe I might... Let me check." Liv patiently waited and observed the unfamiliar face as she did so. Liv wasn't good with names but she was with faces and so far she couldn't pin point a time or place to where she had seen this one before. Naturally it wasn't hard for there to be vampires in Las Vegas the red head wasn't aware of and Liv was certain this mysterious female was anything but human due to several reasons, her choice in clothing being a big one. She heard no heart beat, no breath, no sweet aroma that came with being a human, and the woman was even paler than the fair skinned red head waiting for a light. Liv had no care who the woman was or what her business was here but what was clear to Liv was that the woman in front of her gave her a chill that put her off. There was something about the woman Liv didn't like, but that only made her that much more interesting.
Once the lighter was in sight Liv's prayers were answered. Liv couldn't help but notice the small design on the zippo but it didn't seem familiar so she shrugged it off but kept it in mind for future reference. "You're such a life saver." she said with a small chuckle following. "I bet you don't hear that often." she joked, referring to the fact she was a blood drinker. Liv held the very edge of the cigarette on top of her ruby lips and inhaled when the flame hit the end. After taking in a deep breath and letting it out with a slow sigh Liv returned her attention back to her savor. "Thank you. I was afraid I was going to have to kill someone for a light. Not that I would have minded anyways." Liv adjusted herself with her arms folded with her cigarette in hand not far from her lips for when a hit was ready and her hip slightly cocked to make her stance more relaxed. She looked over the female once more before speaking.
"I don't remember ever seeing you around before. New to the city?" she asked curiously.

"Not quite as often as one would think..." The woman commented playfully, her tone light and airy, though still there was a dark undertone that seemed all too natural, and yet added an air of mystery to her. She let out a soft laugh at the woman's comment about not minding killing someone for a light. Her deep ocean blue eyes took in the woman before her, taking in her stature and body language. She seemed to relax as she drew in the toxins from the cigarette and suddenly an old itch began to rear it's ugly head. "I've visited before, but it's a totally different story living here. You'd think people would be knocking down your door for a bartender in this town." The woman replied as she pulled out a cigarette case of her own. She gently set a cigarette into a long filter, the smooth plastic tapering into a point, which she placed gently between her lips while lighting her own cigarette. She closed her eyes, relaxing with a contented sigh as the smoke passed her lips. "What about you? Live here long?"Rayvn's own curiosity got the best of her as she took another drag off of her cigarette, her posture changing slightly as she relaxed, her shoulders slumping into a slight slouch.
