Overall Personality:

Savitar is an interesting person to be around, almost bipolar really. His mood changes like the wind. He can be happy and agreeable one minute and then shift to a complete 180 to become a total jerk the next. He’s got quite the temper honestly, but it’s not always easy to get him to see that side of him. There are a few things that will trigger his wrath and they are easy to remember. Cruelty and seeing women or children hurt in anyway. He’s very protective of them. In most situations, he won’t even strike one to save his life. The exception is vampires that disregard human life openly and without remorse. His sister is included in that exception list.

He once held family in high regard, even his sister and oldest brother – and he didn’t get along at that easily with them. Still, he was loyal and protective despite being the baby of the family. After the massacre of their town, family holds a new meaning to him. In fact it means close to nothing. His trust had been shattered to the point it has become nearly non-existent. He is extremely inventive and has made many little gizmos and gadgets to make his hunting vampires easier. He’s extremely street-smart as well. He can certainly take care of himself and then some.

He lives by sarcasm and wit and can come off as annoying and rude even on his best day. Most insults have tendency to fly right over his head. He’s good at ignoring them – most days. Despite the constant grief he feels, Sav tries to live his life with positivity. Still a jokester at heart, he does still carry his sense of humor. He can sometimes come off as having a tiny case of Attention Deficit Disorder. It comes out usually in one of his rants. He actually has a lot of those.

Something to keep in mind about him is that he has a tendency to hold grudges. If you think it’s hard to get on his good side and become one of his friends, try screwing it up and attempting to fix it. It’s not easy at all. He’s not very forgiving, and he can be downright nasty to those who wrong him. This being said, he isn’t entirely unreachable. If you do manage to get a second chance with him, don’t screw it up. He doesn’t give out third chances.

History:

Savitar was born the youngest in the family, behind Michael and their two other siblings. He was always closest to Michael, however. He looked up to him. The other brother and Sav clashed most of the time because Sav refused to take any of his crap. He didn’t get along with their sister because he just didn’t understand her. Well, that and he just liked to screw with her. He was the goofball of the family and so he liked to screw with his siblings, particularly his sister. He loved his family though and was relatively protective of them. He cared greatly for them, and though he liked to cause trouble, he never wanted any of them to get hurt.

His teen years consisted of bugging his sister and goofing off with Michael but eventually he began to also sneak off at random times to woo his crush, Crina. He married her when he was about nineteen. The next year, he was holding their first child in his arms. A beautiful girl they had named Zarya after Crina’s late mother. Two years later, he got his son, Andrei. He loved them all and lived to make his family happy. He lived for them, and life was going great. At least until Zarya turned four. That was when all hell broke loose and siblings were turned into the freaks of nature that they are today.

Sav lost everything that day, and if that wasn’t bad enough, whichever one of his siblings went for his family left his daughter dying in the street. Sav found her amongst the chaos, trying to breathe. She died seconds later in his arms. This was after he had found Crina and Andrei all ready dead in the streets so he was devastated. All he wanted to do was die until the witch that cursed his siblings came to him. She offered him a way to avenge his family’s death, granting him an immortality and protection to do just that. After that day, Sav vowed to hunt and kill his siblings even if it killed him.

At first, Savitar was obsessed with killing any and all vampires he could get at just so he could get his treacherous family. He was obsessed with his anger and fed it to the point he was blinded by the hatred he felt toward the monsters they’d become. He didn’t see the gray. It was just black and white. Most supernatural beings, especially vampires, he killed them. It wasn’t until he met a man he decided to train to help him hunt that things began to change. The man fell in love with a vampire and let her turn him. When Sav found out, he tried to kill him and almost succeeded but his mate forced him to think it through. He killed them both anyway but soon began to see that his anger and hatred may have clouded his common sense. He saw them as killers but upon researching his friend’s mate he found she really was not.

From what he had found out he realized that she really hadn’t been that bad. Actually she never killed anyone. She helped and protected the town. Still, he continued to hate vampires. He simply killed those that he actually caught attacking humans. As the years went on, Sav became very creative. He was always making new weapons and ways to conceal them, even the bulky ones. It was after the Revolutionary War that he got the idea to form a group dedicated to protecting humans from unruly and lethal supernatural beings. He was far from happy though. He had lost his siblings pretty quickly after the massacre and couldn’t find them at all afterwards. He was consumed by the loss of his wife and children. No matter how much time passed, he grieved for them. He just wanted them back.

It was almost too much and he almost gave up. He had been considering ending it all when he found himself alone in his Miami hotel room in 2010. He heard a scream in the room next to him and instinctively went over to help. It was then and there that he met a magi by the name of Tess. She had been attacked by a vampire. He immediately saved her and they became fast friends. She is now his best friend and confidante, and though he is in denial, he is beginning to fall for her.
